Job DescriptionWorking within military and aerospace contracted programs. We build and test classified and unclassified spacecrafts. You will work with integration of bus level, optic or component level spacecrafts through Integration Test, and Environmental Testing. These tests will require operations using Digital multimeters, O-Scopes and ESD testing equipment. Comfortability of working elevated and in tight spaces.
As a Technician in the Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit, you'll be integral to our collaborative, cross-functional teams that are committed to innovation, integrity, and execution. In this role, you will conduct and support performance and functional tests on flight hardware, including electronic boards, antennas, and subsystems, during all phases of the hardware evolution process. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all systems meet performance standards, contributing to mission success.
What You'll Do: - Work under limited supervision alongside engineering team. Routine work requires no instruction. General instructions given for new assignments.
- Errors may be difficult to detect and would normally result in loss of customer business, material or equipment to resolve.
- Contacts are typically with individuals within own department and occasionally with contacts outside own organization. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data requiring some explanation or interpretation.
- Apply basic computer skills to input and access data via computer interface.
- Perform other duties as necessary, comprising of reading schematics and test procedure's including but not limited to editing and writing new procedures.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working
on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
Working Conditions: - Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
Required Skills and Education- High School diploma or equivalent plus 8 years or more related experience.
- Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor's or Master's, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- A current, active Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required.
- An electronics background or related degree to effectively support electronic test operations.
- Versatile and contribute well to high-energy team environments.
- Ability to independently operate Frequency analyzers, Spectrum analyzers, O-scopes, Power supplies, Multi-Meters, and data acquisition monitoring devices.
- Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, specifications, notes, and wire lists.
- The ability to be trained and obtain specialized certifications required to perform the assembly and fabrication operations. (Clean room, ESD, FOD, Crane, Solder, Slicing, Crimping, J-STD, IPC-610/620)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to exercise them in a technical environment.
- A good mechanical aptitude, with solid dexterity and hand/eye coordination to work with hand tools.
- Basic computer skills required, along with ability to understand programming and code.
- Self-starter, ambitious, and conscientious very high attention to detail.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work with heavy equipment, tooling and fixtures.

As this position requires operating a company vehicle, an offer and subsequent employment are contingent upon possessing and maintaining a valid US driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record review.
Preferred Skills and Education- Aerospace, spacecraft, instrument, sub-assembly, experience is very beneficial.
- Environmental testing experience e.g., Vibration, Thermal Vacuum, EMI, Acoustic is very beneficial.
- Enhanced performance skills in various flight component test operations is desired.
- Ability to read and write schematics and test procedures.
