The QA Delivery Professional is a senior technical leadership role responsible for defining and executing Quality Engineering (QE) strategy, ensuring successful delivery of QA services, and driving quality transformation across one or more strategic healthcare client accounts. The role combines deep expertise in test automation, quality engineering, AI-enabled testing, DevOps, and enterprise testing practices with strong client-facing leadership and delivery management capabilities.

This individual serves as the primary Quality Engineering advisor to healthcare clients, partnering with technology leaders, architects, product teams, and delivery organizations to establish scalable testing solutions, modern automation frameworks, and continuous quality practices. The QA Delivery Professional is accountable for quality outcomes, technical innovation, client satisfaction, team development, and overall QA service excellence. The role is expected to actively contribute to account growth, solutioning, and quality transformation initiatives

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Quality Engineering Strategy
  • Define and execute enterprise Quality Engineering strategies across healthcare platforms, applications, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Serve as the technical authority for QA architecture, automation frameworks, test tooling, and engineering best practices.
  • Lead adoption of modern Quality Engineering practices including Shift-Left, Shift-Right, Continuous Testing, and Quality Gates.
  • Drive enterprise test automation strategy to increase automation coverage, improve release quality, and reduce testing cycle times.
  • Establish standards for functional, API, integration, performance, data, accessibility, and end-to-end testing.
  • Partner with engineering and architecture teams to embed quality throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative testing solutions that improve quality, efficiency, and delivery speed.


AI-Driven Quality Engineering
  • Champion adoption of AI-powered testing solutions, including intelligent test generation, self-healing automation, predictive analytics, and defect prevention.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage Generative AI for test case development, requirement analysis, defect management, and quality reporting.
  • Establish governance, best practices, and responsible use of AI technologies within Quality Engineering programs.
  • Evaluate and implement AI-enabled testing tools and frameworks to enhance productivity and software quality.


QA Delivery Oversight
  • Own end-to-end quality delivery across multiple programs, projects, and product teams.
  • Ensure services are delivered according to contractual commitments, quality standards, KPIs, and SLAs.
  • Coordinate with project managers, product owners, business stakeholders, and QA leads to align delivery plans and release schedules.
  • Drive consistent test planning, execution, reporting, defect management, and release readiness processes.
  • Monitor quality metrics and drive corrective actions to improve delivery performance.


Healthcare Domain Leadership
  • Provide Quality Engineering leadership for healthcare applications, platforms, and business processes.
  • Ensure testing strategies address healthcare-specific requirements including data privacy, interoperability, regulatory compliance, and patient-centric workflows.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders across payer, provider, pharmacy, healthcare technology, or life sciences organizations.
  • Apply healthcare domain expertise to identify quality risks and ensure business-critical healthcare processes are adequately validated.
  • Support quality initiatives involving claims processing, member services, electronic health records (EHR/EMR), clinical systems, patient engagement platforms, healthcare portals, and related healthcare solutions.


Client Consulting & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the primary QA and Quality Engineering point of contact for client leadership teams.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with technology, business, and delivery stakeholders.
  • Translate complex quality, testing, and delivery challenges into actionable recommendations.
  • Lead quality governance reviews, executive presentations, and strategic planning discussions.
  • Identify opportunities to expand Quality Engineering services and support account growth initiatives.


Continuous Improvement & Innovation
  • Drive automation adoption and testing transformation across programs.
  • Promote standardization, reusable frameworks, accelerators, and best practices.
  • Introduce innovative approaches to improve quality, efficiency, predictability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and track quality KPIs, automation metrics, defect leakage trends, and release health indicators.


Team Leadership & Mentoring
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to QA Managers, Test Leads, Automation Engineers, and Quality Engineering teams.
  • Support talent development, coaching, succession planning, and competency growth.
  • Collaborate with resource managers and leadership teams to ensure availability of required technical skills and capacity.
  • Foster a culture of engineering excellence, innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, or Quality Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience leading enterprise-scale Quality Engineering or QA transformation initiatives.
  • Proven experience leading large QA organizations across multiple programs, products, or client accounts.
  • Deep expertise in test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or equivalent technologies.
  • Strong understanding of API testing, integration testing, performance testing, accessibility testing, and data validation practices.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD testing strategies within Agile and DevOps environments.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, GitLab, or comparable delivery and automation platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish enterprise quality metrics, governance frameworks, and automation strategies.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based application testing and modern software architectures,
    including APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Experience evaluating and implementing AI-enabled testing capabilities and Quality Engineering innovations.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, consulting, and executive presentation skills.
  • Experience managing delivery risks, escalations, dependencies, budgets, and multi-vendor environments


Healthcare Industry Requirements

Required:
  • 5+ years of experience supporting healthcare clients.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare business processes, technology ecosystems, and quality requirements.
  • Experience supporting one or more of the following:
    • Healthcare Payers
    • Healthcare Providers
    • Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM)
    • Health Technology Platforms
    • Life Sciences Organizations
  • Familiarity with healthcare data privacy, compliance, interoperability, and regulatory considerations.
  • Experience leading testing initiatives for healthcare applications and customer-facing digital platform


Preferred:
  • Experience with Epic, Cerner, Salesforce Health Cloud, Facets, TriZetto, GuidingCare, or similar healthcare platforms.
  • Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, EDI transactions, claims processing, member enrollment, care management, and patient engagement systems.


Preferred Certifications
  • ISTQB Advanced Test Manager or Test Automation certifications
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Agilist, or PMI-ACP
  • PMP Certification
  • Certified DevOps or Cloud Platform certifications (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • AI or Generative AI related certifications
  • Healthcare industry certifications are a plus

A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $92,118 to $202,730.
