Overview

We are currently looking for a Technical Project Manager who will be responsible for successful delivery of software related projects of varying complexity. You will develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, risks, and issues. You will work closely with our senior project managers as well as with technical team in charge of design implementations and will be expected to collaborate with other teams such as Product, QA, and internal/external stakeholders.

Objective for this role is to enable and equip our team with an excellent individual who is capable of leading software related projects from end to end while bearing in mind complex business requirements, strict quality standards and aggressive project timelines.

This position is currently open and reflects a new position created to support organizational growth.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity. This range is provided to ensure clarity and promote equitable access to employment opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, support, facilitate, and implement projects of moderate to large size, diversity, and complexity.
  • Efficiently manage projects to ensure timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with internal/external quality expectations.
  • Establish a common understanding among stakeholders and team members by setting and managing expectations in accordance with the project plan.
  • Provide top-down oversight throughout project execution to ensure success based on adherence to scope, budget, and timeline standards.
  • Proactively communicate with all involved personnel, offering encouragement, identifying problems, proposing solutions, and implementing efficiency improvements.
  • Review proposed modifications to project plans, including meeting with relevant parties to obtain approval and implement beneficial changes.
  • Oversee resource acquisition before and during projects by engaging with customers, team members, managers, and participating in negotiations with vendors for price and payment agreements.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in computer science, Master's in Project Management, or equivalent. Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, SCM, or ITIL are advantageous.
  • 4+ years of proven experience managing IT projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Strong proficiency in project management, including issue identification and resolution, risk management, charter and project management plan development, resource allocation, and effective facilitation of team meetings
  • Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) with rapid with rapid comprehension of high-level technical concepts
  • Experience with the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence)
  • Rapid comprehension of high-level technical concepts and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to balance details and maintain a strategic perspective
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project) and presentation skills
  • Mastery in project management and process improvement methodologies
  • Results-oriented with a disciplined approach to documentation
  • Bilingual in English & French a strong asset
