JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Technical Project Manager II in Consumer and Community Banking Connected Commerce, you will play a pivotal role in leading complex technology projects and programs that drive business goals and enhance the firm's technological capabilities. You will leverage your broad knowledge of technical principles and practices to develop innovative solutions, while effectively managing resources, budgets, and cross-functional teams. Your analytical reasoning and adaptability skills will enable you to navigate through ambiguity and embrace change. By fostering productive relationships with stakeholders and clients, you will contribute to the firm's overall growth and success. Your excellent communication skills and ability to influence others will be crucial in driving mutually beneficial outcomes and managing risks in line with the firm's policies and practices.

Job responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain automated reporting solutions, interactive dashboards, and data transformation workflows that provide leadership and stakeholders with timely, accurate, and actionable insights.

     

  • Participate in stakeholder management, fostering productive working relationships with cross-functional teams and clients to drive mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Assist in risk management by making informed decisions in line with the firm's risk management practices and policies, ensuring project success and compliance 
  • Perform data reconciliation and validation to ensure accuracy and completeness of reporting deliverables, identifying and resolving discrepancies before they reach stakeholders.
  • Partner with software engineering and application development teams to coordinate delivery, define priorities, track progress, and ensure alignment between technical execution and business objectives.
  • Communicate project status, reporting insights, and recommendations to diverse audiences, tailoring messaging and format appropriately.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and technologies to improve efficiency and scalability of reporting and automation capabilities.

     

    Source data from various systems of record through database connections, APIs, file inputs, and other means, researching firm documentation and technical references to understand connectivity options and data structures.

  • Identify and automate manual processes and tasks across the organization, reducing operational overhead and improving efficiency for partner teams.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 2+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs
  • Proven ability to utilize analytical reasoning and problem-solving techniques to break down objectives into manageable tasks
  • Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and data analysis.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write queries to extract, filter, and analyze data from relational databases.
  • Demonstrated experience working with APIs, including consuming, integrating, and troubleshooting RESTful services.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and analyzing complex datasets.
  • Strong attention to detail, with experience in data reconciliation, validation, and ensuring accuracy and completeness of reporting outputs.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for audiences ranging from technical teams to senior business leaders.
  • Experience in resource optimization and/or resource planning
  • Prior experience managing diverse sets of stakeholders, establishing productive working relationships with cross-functional teams, clients, and managing project governance 
  • Self-directed learning mindset, comfortable using official documentation and technical references to acquire new skills and troubleshoot issues independently.

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Basic understanding of web technologies—including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript—and how they work together in web-based applications.
  • Experience using low-code data transformation tools (e.g., Alteryx or similar platforms) to build efficient workflows.
  • Experience designing and developing data visualizations that translate business questions into clear, actionable insights using Tableau or comparable tools (e.g., Power BI, QlikView).
