About the RoleWe are seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead the planning, execution, and ongoing operations of programs across OpenAI's global Applied AI Engineering team. You will turn customer, field, and leadership priorities into actionable programs spanning regions and customer segments, managing milestones, dependencies, risks, and delivery in collaboration with AIE, Sales, Product, and partner teams. Alongside execution, you will own and improve AIE's internal operating mechanisms and tooling, and work with leadership to resolve adoption and delivery bottlenecks. This role combines hands-on program ownership with the opportunity to inform AIE priorities and industry strategy, improve how the team operates, and scale successful approaches globally.

In This Role, You Will- Own end-to-end delivery and operations for a prioritized portfolio of global AIE initiatives, including project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, regional rollout, leadership updates, and performance tracking.
- Co-own industry strategy with AIE and GTM leaders across regions: synthesize customer and field feedback, identify recurring workflows and adoption barriers, and prioritize use cases and investments.
- Partner with AIEs across regions and customer segments to identify recurring adoption, delivery, and operational bottlenecks and root causes; work with leadership to prioritize actions, align resources, and drive resolution.
- Lead the design of reusable technical industry workshops-including agendas, demos, materials, and actionable next steps-that regional teams can adapt, with delivery led by AIE and other technical teams.
- Work with hyperscaler and ecosystem partners to jointly develop industry use cases and coordinate technical readiness, launches, and go-to-market execution.
- Own the roadmap, quality, and lifecycle of API and industry demos, technical blueprints, and field enablement playbooks, partnering with technical teams to keep assets current, reusable across regions and customer segments, and aligned with customer needs and product capabilities.
- Design and run field-wide technical campaigns in collaboration with AIE, Sales, Product, and partner teams, tailoring regional execution to move customers from discovery and evaluation toward adoption.
- Own and improve AIE's internal operating mechanisms and tooling-including intake, prioritization, operating reviews, and reporting. Establish feedback loops, shared success metrics, and dashboards for delivery, field and customer adoption, API usage, and business impact across regions; use automation and insights to improve team effectiveness and inform AIE, industry, and product priorities.
You Might Thrive in This Role If You- Bring at least 10+ years of technology-industry experience, with a track record in technical program management, technical strategy, technical GTM, industry programs, or technology consulting. Experience at hyperscalers, independent software vendors (ISVs), or consulting firms is preferred.
- Have driven technical sales motions and field-wide campaigns with measurable customer adoption or business results.
- Bring strong technical fluency in AI, APIs, cloud platforms, and enterprise deployment tradeoffs, with experience scoping use cases and shaping technical demos, prototypes, workshops, or reference implementations with engineers.
- Can turn customer and field signals into a clear industry point of view, distinguish repeatable needs from one-off requests, and prioritize investments.
- Have experience partnering with hyperscalers or technology ecosystems on joint solutions, technical enablement, or go-to-market programs.
- Have built and managed internal workflows or tooling that teams use day to day. Use automation and AI-powered business intelligence (BI) tools to reduce manual work, build dashboards, define success metrics, and turn adoption and program-performance data into decisions.
- Have led large-scale global initiatives from initial design through multi-region rollout and ongoing operations, balancing shared standards with local needs. You navigate ambiguity, influence without formal authority, and communicate clearly with technical, field, partner, and executive audiences across regions and functions.
