Full Job Description
Overview

The Technical Program Manager will play a pivotal role in the successful implementation of a GenAI-driven modernization effort for a key U.S. Army client. This position requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in cloud platforms, Army standards, and agent-based AI systems, along with the ability to coordinate complex development efforts to ensure alignment with Army mission requirements and operational realities. This position requires an active Secret clearance.

The Technical Program Manager will be responsible for guiding the deployment and evolution of LMI’s LIGER® platform, an agentic AI tool, mitigating technical and programmatic risk, and overseeing the work of a deeply technical, multi-disciplinary team. This role serves as a senior Technical SME to the U.S. Army client, bridging hands-on technical execution with senior, non-technical leadership to ensure AI-driven solutions directly support mission outcomes.

The Technical Program Manager is expected to move quickly in an environment that emphasizes building, deploying, and iterating in parallel—communicating clearly, driving consensus, fostering strong team collaboration, and owning the end-to-end solution lifecycle with the client.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary technical lead coordinating GenAI and agentic AI development efforts to ensure alignment with Army requirements, constraints, and mission priorities
  • Translate mission needs into LIGER architectures, workflows, and agent-based solutions that integrate with existing Army systems
  • Combine deep technical expertise with strong stakeholder management and consensus-building skills to align Army leaders to AI-driven solution approaches
  • Oversee the deployment and evolution of GenAI platforms, AI agents, and supporting data pipelines while mitigating technical, security, and delivery risks
  • Collaborate with Army stakeholders to integrate AI capabilities into existing cloud, data, and enterprise IT environments
  • Assist in developing and maintaining technical documentation, including system architectures, agent interaction diagrams, and AI workflow specifications
  • Provide technical guidance and advisory support to Army personnel and partner contractors
  • Stay current on GenAI, agentic AI patterns, cloud infrastructure advancements, and evolving Army / DoD digital standards
  • Ensure compliance with Army cybersecurity, data governance, and AI risk management requirements
  • Collaborate with program leadership to optimize cost efficiency and prevent cost overruns in AI platform delivery
  • Provide clear, regular status updates to senior Army leaders and LMI management
  • Manage project deliverables, financials, schedules, and team performance across the full solution lifecycle
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience; Master’s degree highly desirable
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, and cloud deployments, including security, cyber, and data infrastructure
  • Experience interfacing between hands-on technical teams and senior stakeholders, creating delivery roadmaps from scratch
  • Demonstrated experience implementing or managing GenAI platforms, AI agents, or AI-enabled workflows in enterprise or mission environments
  • Strong familiarity with Army standards and requirements for digital, cloud, cyber, and data systems
  • Experience working directly with Army stakeholders and defense contractors
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex AI and technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Experience with U.S. Army networking systems, data architectures, and current modernization initiatives
  • Experience supporting tactical-level or operational Army solutions is a plus
  • Experience across AWS, Azure, and on-premises environments
  • Active Secret clearance required
