Job Description

Hilton Grand Vacations is seeking a Senior Product Designer to help shape the future of our digital experiences across ownership, booking, vacation planning, servicing, member engagement, and emerging AI-powered products.

This role combines strategic thinking, user-centered design, and execution excellence. The ideal candidate can identify customer problems, uncover insights through research and analytics, create compelling experience concepts, and deliver high-quality designs that are both desirable for customers and practical for implementation.

Senior Product Designers work across the entire product lifecycle, from opportunity discovery through post-launch optimization. They help product teams understand customer behavior, define experience strategies, create scalable design solutions, and measure outcomes after release.

The successful candidate is comfortable working in ambiguity, facilitating cross-functional discussions, communicating design rationale to stakeholders, and connecting design decisions to measurable customer and business outcomes.

This role is expected to influence product strategy, mentor less experienced designers, elevate design quality across teams, and contribute to a culture of customer obsession, experimentation, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Customer Discovery & Research
  • Lead user research activities to understand customer needs, pain points, behaviors, and motivations.
  • Translate research findings into actionable design opportunities.
  • Synthesize quantitative and qualitative insights to identify opportunities for product improvement.
  • Create personas, journey maps, service blueprints, and experience models when appropriate.
Product & Experience Design
  • Design end-to-end experiences across web, mobile, and internal platforms.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
  • Solve complex interaction and information architecture challenges.
  • Balance customer needs, business goals, technical constraints, and operational realities.
  • Define experience strategies that improve usability, adoption, and customer satisfaction.
Collaboration & Product Leadership
  • Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Facilitate workshops and design-thinking sessions with stakeholders.
  • Communicate design concepts, tradeoffs, and recommendations effectively.
  • Influence product strategy through customer insights and experience expertise.
  • Participate in product planning and roadmap discussions.
Design System & Quality
  • Contribute to the evolution and governance of HGV's design system.
  • Promote design consistency, accessibility, and usability standards.
  • Review designs for quality and alignment with established patterns.
  • Conduct design critiques and provide constructive feedback to peers.
Outcome Measurement
  • Define experience success criteria and design hypotheses.
  • Partner with analytics teams to establish meaningful customer and business metrics.
  • Measure design effectiveness through experimentation, usability testing, and post-launch analysis.
  • Use data to drive continuous improvement and optimization.
Mentorship & Leadership
  • Mentor Associate and Product Designers.
  • Share best practices, frameworks, and design methodologies.
  • Help establish and evolve design processes and operating standards.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor within cross-functional teams.
