We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Technical Product Coordinator to own the health of our team's Jira backlog, drive execution planning across our product improvement initiatives, and serve as a key liaison between engineering, leadership, and customers. This role blends backlog management discipline with strategic planning and stakeholder communication.
Key ResponsibilitiesBacklog & Jira Management- Own and maintain the team's Jira backlog, ensuring items are properly written, prioritized, labeled, and groomed.
- Facilitate backlog refinement sessions with engineering and product stakeholders.
- Ensure epics, stories, and tasks are appropriately scoped, sequenced, and linked to broader initiatives.
- Monitor sprint/cycle health, flag blockers, and maintain accurate status reporting, including burndown, velocity, and throughput.
- Establish and enforce consistent ticket hygiene standards, including naming conventions, acceptance criteria, and definition of done.
Jira Administration & Optimization- Build and manage Jira automation rules to reduce manual work, such as auto-assignment, status transitions, notifications, and SLA escalations.
- Design and maintain Jira dashboards providing real-time visibility into sprint health, velocity, burndown/burnup, and cumulative flow.
- Build and manage timelines and roadmaps using Jira Timeline, Advanced Roadmaps, or Structure to visualize cross-team dependencies and delivery milestones.
- Use JQL (Jira Query Language) to create custom filters, saved searches, and reports for stakeholders.
- Maintain data integrity and consistent ticket hygiene, including labeling, components, versions, and priorities, across projects.
Execution Planning- Partner with engineering leads and product owners to build and maintain roadmaps for product improvements.
- Translate strategic priorities into actionable, sequenced execution plans with clear milestones and owners.
- Identify dependencies, risks, and resourcing gaps across concurrent workstreams.
- Track progress against plans and proactively surface schedule risks to leadership.
- Run regular planning cadences, including sprint planning, quarterly roadmap reviews, and retrospectives.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement- Serve as a point of contact for customers regarding product updates, timelines, and issue status.
- Gather and synthesize customer feedback into actionable backlog items.
- Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align expectations.
- Support customer-facing meetings, demos, and check-ins as needed.
Communications- Draft and distribute regular status updates, release notes, and roadmap communications to stakeholders and leadership.
- Create clear, concise materials-including decks, dashboards, and written summaries-that translate technical work into business-relevant language.
- Coordinate cross-team communication to ensure alignment on priorities and timelines.
- Manage announcements related to feature releases, changes, or known issues.
