We're looking for an experiencedTechnical Managerto join ourHigh Prairie OSB Division, located in High Prairie, Alberta.Our mill has undergone anexciting major rebuildand modernization including the commissioning of a new continuous press which will makes us the most modern mill in North America.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Experience in leading the organization and supervision of technical aspects ofprocess improvements, technology, research and development.
  • Demonstratedknowledge of OSB/EWP (Engineered Wood Products) manufacturing processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to safety.
  • Focus on qualityandcontinuous improvement.
  • Strongstatistical knowledgeandcomputer literacy.
  • Post-secondary educationin a related field is an asset.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead with a strong focus on safety.
  • Provide feedbackand support to our Process Engineer and Process & Technical Coordinator.
  • Assist in thedevelopment and improvement of products and processes.
  • Stay on top of new industry developments and standards in technology and customer satisfaction in order torecommend, plan, and organize actionsthat will keep the mill current.
  • Interact with our Sales and Production teamsand keep the product cost model current.
  • Use your knowledge of code requirements, third-party testing agencies and experience in statistical process control toplan,organize and implement resin or mill trials.
