Job Summary
The Technical Lead - Enterprise Technology will provide hands-on technical leadership for engineering teams delivering complex enterprise applications and integration solutions. The role requires broad expertise across Java, Spring Boot, MuleSoft, AWS, microservices, APIs, cloud infrastructure, databases, and modern frontend technologies. The successful candidate will lead technical direction and delivery while remaining actively involved in writing and reviewing production code, architecture, modernization initiatives, and cross-functional enterprise programs. Experience in financial services, automotive, or similarly regulated environments is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the technical direction, architecture, and delivery of enterprise software engineering initiatives.
• Design, develop, and review production-quality backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and build APIs, integration flows, and connectors using MuleSoft and Anypoint Platform.
• Develop DataWeave transformations and apply API-led connectivity approaches.
• Design resilient, independently deployable microservices architectures using AWS.
• Implement event-driven messaging patterns using queues and streaming platforms.
• Design, develop, integrate, and support REST and SOAP APIs, including legacy enterprise integrations.
• Develop Python scripts and automation solutions for operational and data pipeline requirements.
• Design and manage AWS solutions across compute, storage, messaging, networking, serverless, containerized, and managed service patterns.
• Manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Own and contribute to CI/CD deployment pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent platforms.
• Support containerized application development and deployment using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Design and optimize SQL queries and data models using enterprise databases such as PostgreSQL and Oracle.
• Evaluate and support document and key-value data stores such as MongoDB for appropriate use cases.
• Build and support ETL/ELT pipelines and integrations with reporting and data warehouse platforms.
• Develop and maintain frontend applications and internal tooling using React or Angular.
• Design and consume RESTful APIs from frontend applications, including authentication flows and error handling.
• Build and maintain reusable component libraries within enterprise application environments.
• Lead legacy modernization, platform re-platforming, and migration initiatives while maintaining the stability of live services.
• Write and review production code alongside engineering team members and provide hands-on technical guidance.
• Conduct architecture and technical design reviews and establish engineering standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver complex enterprise programs.
• Communicate technical decisions, architecture considerations, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support compliance and security requirements in technical design and implementation decisions.

Required Qualifications
• 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2-3 years of experience leading an engineering team and taking accountability for its technical direction and delivery.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot, including development and review of production-quality backend services.
• Strong experience with MuleSoft, Anypoint Platform, DataWeave, API development, integration flows, connectors, and API-led connectivity.
• Strong experience designing and implementing microservices architectures, preferably in AWS environments.
• Experience with REST and SOAP APIs, including enterprise and legacy integrations.
• Proficiency in Python for automation, scripting, and data pipeline development.
• Hands-on experience with AWS core compute, storage, messaging, networking, serverless, containerized, and managed services.
• Experience managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience owning or contributing to CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tools.
• Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for application packaging, deployment, and orchestration.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills with experience using enterprise databases such as PostgreSQL or Oracle.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and supporting reporting or data warehouse integrations.
• Hands-on experience with React or Angular for portal and internal tooling applications.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs from frontend applications, including authentication and error handling.
• Experience with component-based development and enterprise component libraries.
• Demonstrated experience delivering complex, cross-functional programs in large enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading or playing a central role in legacy modernization, re-platforming, or migration programs.
• Strong hands-on development experience with the ability to write and review production code.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban in a scaled enterprise environment.
• Working knowledge of financial services compliance requirements such as PCI DSS, SOX, and data privacy regulations.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in financial services, automotive, or similarly regulated industries.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and enterprise messaging or streaming platforms.
• Experience working with document or key-value databases such as MongoDB.
• Experience leading large-scale platform modernization and migration initiatives.
