Job Description

HII Mission Technologies is searching for aTechnical Integration & Governance Systems Engineer in Springfield,VA.The PET office requires specialized, objective technical expertise to address complex IT governance, policy development, and strategic challenges. Support technical integration and governance activities across PE, with primary responsibility for supporting integration activities across multiple PE contracts including UDS (Unified Data Services), TCS (Technical Coordination Services), EMS (Enterprise Management Services), and other supporting contracts. Establish capacity management frameworks and facilitate cross-program technical coordination.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Integration Support:
  • Serve as primary technical coordination point for PET across PE in support of PET integration team
  • Facilitate project integration from an engineering perspective throughout the acquisition lifecycle
  • Coordinate integration activities across program boundaries and multiple PET support contracts (UDS, TCS, EMS)
  • Identify integration gaps and dependencies across contract vehicles
  • Implement integration and migration planning across enterprise IT programs
  • Support dependency mapping and analysis activities
  • Coordinate with systems integrators, software vendors, and specialized technical contractors
  • Support PE Architecture IPT and integration working groups
  • Assist with API and interface design standards development
  • Support PE resiliency initiatives and current state assessments
  • Ensure alignment of contractor deliverables with PET strategic objectives
  • Support technical coordination meetings across PEZ contract teams
  • Support contract performance monitoring and reporting to PE level
  • Assist with technical vendor oversight activities

Governance Support:
  • Support establishment and implementation of IT governance frameworks
  • Assist with development of decision authority frameworks
  • Support PE Governance EXCOM Board activities
  • Coordinate PE to enterprise governance forums and external governance decision flows
  • Support governance automation pilot initiatives (ServiceNow)
  • Assist with IT standards development and compliance reviews
  • Support strategic PE roadmap oversight activities
  • Help establish capacity management frameworks
  • Support RFC process management and ITB management functions


Minimum Qualifications

5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, technical integration, or IT governance
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating activities across multiple programs or contracts
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and integration methodologies
  • Experience with dependency mapping and technical coordination
  • Knowledge of IT governance frameworks and processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries


TS/SCI w/Poly clearance at time of hire.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with DoD/IC acquisition processes and contract management
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, ITIL)
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and SAFe
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools (DOORS, Jira, ServicePlus)
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar governance automation platforms
  • Understanding of API design and integration patterns
  • Background in capacity planning and performance management
  • Experience supporting government IT programs
  • Relevant certifications (PMP, ITIL, SAFe, systems engineering certifications)
