Technical Expert (AI Transformation)

Location: Houston, Texas or Dallas, Texas or Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Model of Work: Hybrid

As a key member of the Technology Services team, the Technical Expert will help define, prototype, govern, and scale AI-enabled delivery capabilities across our global Professional Services organization. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical depth in software implementations with the ability to reimagine how Professional Services work is performed, how customer outcomes are delivered, and how AI can be embedded in Quorum's delivery standards, tools, and service offerings.

The Technical Expert will be responsible for planning, designing, deploying, and delivering technical services to customers as part of implementing proprietary software solutions to best fit customers needs. They will develop and evolve AI-powered capabilities for proprietary software implementations with customers across North America and Latin America, including data analytics, deployments, infrastructure management, and/or Quorum interfaces with 3 rd party applications. The individual should have a strong desire for continuous learning and growth of technical skills, with the aspiration to leverage these skills to provide a positive experience for internal and external customers.

What You'll Help Build

  • AI-enabled delivery accelerators for implementations, upgrades, data migrations, integrations, testing, and deployments
  • Repeatable service patterns that reduce manual effort and improve quality
  • AI-supported customer offerings, such as assessment, readiness, validation, modernization, or advisory services
  • Enablement materials, reusable prompts/skills, and playbooks for Professional Services teams


Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery, design, and prototyping of AI-embedded delivery capabilities across Services workflows, including end-to-end integration, installation, migration, and other technical services for enterprise software customers, often with complex and highly customized solutions
  • Define reusable technical patterns for AI-enabled work across upgrades, integrations, deployments, and testing as part of implementing, upgrading, and enhancing Quorum products
  • Help evolve responsible AI governance and standards for project workflows, including controls, validations, guardrails, environment boundaries, and deployment patterns
  • Identify potential AI-enabled customer offerings and collaborate with Services leadership to shape them into repeatable, sellable capabilities


  • Master and train others on technical skills required for successful delivery, such as SQL, APIs, Azure DevOps Pipelines, C# troubleshooting, and in-house Quorum tools
  • Take a leadership role in the design, configuration/development, and testing phases of software implementation, upgrade, and enhancement projects
  • Serve as the primary Quorum representative for customers to gather business and technical specifications, develop data analytics or other capabilities, train IT personnel, and resolve issues
  • Manage multiple ongoing customer commitments and balance priorities across projects on independent schedules, working toward successful completion of project-level goals
  • Demonstrate technical and product expertise in customer conversations while representing Quorum positively
  • Mentor junior team members towards mastery of technical skills and ownership of high-quality, timely work
  • Plan and execute improvements to software implementation and configuration tools, processes, and documentation
  • Develop a deep understanding of Quorum's architecture systems, integration platform capabilities, and software development lifecycle processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, technology, engineering, business, or related discipline that has an analytical component OR equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of related experience in software development, cloud operations, business consulting, or a similar industry
  • Hands-on experience applying AI/LLMs to business or technical workflows to achieve business outcomes
  • Experience designing AI-enabled workflows with validation, observability, auditability, and risk controls
  • Experience working with customers and software users to gather business and technical requirements, develop efficient and high-quality solutions, and troubleshoot reported issues
  • Strong technical foundation in APIs, SQL, programming (C# or similar), software development lifecycle, and/or systems architecture
  • Familiarity with AI prompt/skill design, agentic workflows, LLM tool use, or AI-assisted software development
  • Experience mentoring junior colleagues and managing end-to-end work deliverables
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and desire for continuous learning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to technical and non-technical business experts, stakeholders, and customers
  • Willing to travel occasionally during the week to customer site (most work with customers is performed remotely, with a hybrid schedule of 2 days/week in the Quorum office and 3 days/week from home)
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal


Preferred Skills

In addition to the above requirements, the ideal candidate will have some combination of several of the below preferred skills:

  • Experience with agentic AI platforms, LLM gateways, and/or MCP-style tool registries
  • Experience building or scaling AI tools used by delivery, consulting, support, or implementation teams
  • Experience with Azure-based AI/tool deployment patterns, containerized applications, DevOps pipelines, telemetry, or secure runtime environments
  • Experience working with Cloud-based solutions, Cloud/SaaS project delivery model, DevOps deployments, and/or infrastructure management
  • Experience with one or more of the following: object-oriented programming, web development, REST APIs, Postman, SAP integration
  • Demonstrated team leadership skills such as managing project schedules and fostering team collaboration
  • Experience working in the energy industry or managing software development efforts
  • Interest to grow and develop customer relationships through direct and meaningful interaction
  • Proficiency in Spanish, both written and verbal is preferred but not required
