Salary - $115K + 10% Annual Bonus

Position Summary

The Technical Enablement Engineer is responsible for enabling solution provider partners to build, expand, and enhance their practice areas by increasing their technical capability, solution awareness, and market readiness. This role focuses on pre-sales technical engagement, partner education, and solution enablement across vendor technologies, emerging trends, and high-growth IT solutions.

The role serves as a trusted technical advisor to partners, helping them strengthen their sales motion, improve competitive differentiation, and accelerate revenue growth through Ingram Micro’s vendor ecosystem. This includes delivering training, driving solution awareness, and providing SME-level guidance on vendor products and technologies.

This is a highly collaborative role that combines technical expertise, partner engagement, and consultative pre-sales support to help partners become more proactive, profitable, and services-driven.

What you’ll do
  • Deliver pre-sales technical enablement including demonstrations, training sessions, and solution overviews for partners.
  • Educate partners on emerging technologies, vendor roadmaps, market trends, and high-value IT solutions.
  • Provide SME-level expertise on vendor products and solutions to support partner sales and technical teams.
  • Enable partners to build stronger solution practices by expanding into new and emerging technologies and services.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor, providing guidance that helps partners improve competitiveness and win rates.
  • Collaborate with partners to understand their sales organization, identify key stakeholders, and support practice development.
  • Drive awareness of modern business needs, customer outcomes, and market opportunities across solution areas.
  • Support partners in transitioning toward more proactive, services-led, and solution-oriented selling models.
  • Engage in thought leadership discussions with partners to influence technology adoption and investment decisions.
  • Build strong relationships with reseller and vendor stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency in solution planning.
What you bring to the role
  • A four-year college degree (or equivalent experience in a related field) and 3 years of functional experience including a minimum of 1 year in a technical enablement, pre-sales, or solution engineering role.
  • Strong technical understanding of IT solutions, vendor technologies, and enterprise or channel ecosystems.
  • Experience delivering technical training, product demonstrations, or solution enablement sessions.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business and sales value for partner audiences.
  • Strong consultative and relationship-building skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to influence and guide partner technical and sales teams through advisory engagement.
  • Experience working in a channel, distributor, or vendor-driven environment preferred.
  • Proficiency with standard business tools and platforms including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Ability to work independently with general supervision while consulting senior or specialist resources when needed.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills with attention to clarity and accuracy.
  • Recognized as a developing specialist with growing expertise in technical solutions and partner enablement.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $89,700.00 - $143,500.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
