Technical Enablement Engineer - Proofpoint

Are you a technically skilled, people-first professional who gets excited about helping partners grow their business and win more deals? Ingram Micro is looking for a driven Technical Enablement Engineer to educate, enable, and empower our partner ecosystem, turning good partners into great ones and great ones into trusted advisors.

About the Role

As a Technical Enablement Engineer at Ingram Micro, you'll be the bridge between cutting-edge IT solutions and the partners who bring them to market. You'll provide pre-sales consultation, hands-on training, and strategic guidance that helps partners build thriving practices, expand into new technology areas, and grow their business with Ingram Micro at an accelerated pace.

  • Drive Partner Enablement: Proactively introduce, demonstrate, and train partners on modern business solutions - including emerging technologies, high-margin professional services, market trends, and desired business outcomes.
  • Build Trusted Relationships: Cultivate deep, transparent relationships with resellers and vendors, earning trusted advisor status that drives collaborative planning and long-term business growth.
  • Elevate Technical Proficiency: Comprehensively educate partners on best-in-class IT solutions, raising their technical capabilities so they can win more business with confidence and market relevance.
  • Influence Key Stakeholders: Deliver relevant thought leadership and strategic guidance to decision-makers, influencing them to invest in accelerating their growth through Ingram Micro.
  • Transform Partner Practices: Enable partners to evolve into proactive, profitable, and services-driven trusted advisors - creating lasting value for their end-user clients and growing their bottom line.
  • Engage the Right People: Understand each partner's sales organization, identify key stakeholders, and engage them with the right solutions at the right time.


What You Bring

Skills & Expertise:
  • Strong technical foundation with the ability to articulate complex IT solutions in a clear, compelling, and business-relevant way
  • Proven experience in pre-sales, technical training, or partner enablement
  • Ability to engage and influence decision-makers, executives, and technical audiences alike
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with vendors, partners, and internal teams
  • Advanced badges and certifications in advanced solutions technology categories preferred
  • General proficiency across a variety of tools, systems, and technical platforms
  • A proactive, self-motivated mindset with a passion for helping others succeed

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $89,700.00 - $143,500.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate's primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.

At Ingram Micro certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus or sales incentives and long-term incentives. These awards are allocated based on position level and individual performance.
