Full Job Description
Technical Editor:/Engineer- Commit & PR Documentation (Multi-Language)
Review pull requests, commits, and code to construct clear, concise summaries. In this role you will leave clear, specific PR feedback and hold engineers to good commit/documentation practices. This is a writing role first and an engineering role second: you need enough technical fluency to infer the intent behind a code change across a large variety of languages and frameworks.

Requirements:

  • Excellent technical writing and editing skills.
  • Sound judgment about what's essential versus what's noise
  • Proven ability to explain complex technical work to non-technical audiences, executive summary style
  • Familiarity with one or more modern programming languages, while being comfortable reading code in unfamiliar languages.
  • Strong logical and algorithmic reasoning skills.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to work outside your technical comfort zone

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior software engineering or project management experience.
  • Experience writing technical documentation, release notes, or developer-facing content.
  • Experience reviewing pull requests or participating in code review processes.
