Full Job Description
We are seeking a Technical Counselor to work as a trusted advisor to provide guidance and insights to Enterprise Architecture & Strategy Leaders to define, implement, and scale their enterprise architecture practices. EA Technical Counselor works directly with clients to accelerate EA maturity, align technology with business strategy, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

This role requires a blend of deep EA expertise, consultative skills, and coaching ability to guide members through strategy development, capability building, governance design, and modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Technical Counsel and oversight exclusively to 16-20 clients within any 12 month period of time cultivated or assigned
  • Ability to participate in unstructured value based client conversations and create new methods for a client's success.
  • Provide 1:1 counseling sessions to help members design and implement EA frameworks, roadmaps, and operating models.
  • Provide confidential and professional advising to our members in-person, telephonically, as well as digitally through Video Conferencing
  • Evaluate members' needs and work with them to set objectives and develop a strategy/work plan within the terms and conditions of the members' agreement.
  • Embrace Info-Tech Research Group culture of continuous learning by participating in on-going self and industry development activities.
  • Provide proactive thought leadership and new ideas not "asked for" on behalf of the client's membership
  • Participate in regular communication / support / education and participation with Sales Leadership and Account Directors to account planning and support efforts
  • Leverage ITRG and 3rd party assets to deliver on promises within the memberships
  • Diagnose member value expectations pain points and connect them with appropriate Info-Tech Research Group product solutions.

  • Advise on modern architecture trends such as cloud adoption, SaaS transformation, microservices, API strategies, and AI Architecture & Integration etc.

  • Build strong relationships with the member peers and important stakeholders to provide experiences that are tailored to the member's objectives and culture.
  • Collaborate with research teams to validate frameworks with client feedback.


Experience:

  • Possess a minimum of 15 years of professional IT or strategy experiences at multiple organizations at leadership positions in Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Strategy, Innovation, or similar domain (Infrastructure, Applications, Data, Integration, Security).
  • Expert knowledge in Enterprise Architecture, Strategy, Operating Models and Innovation.
  • Excellent knowledge in the majority of the key architecture domains (Infrastructure, Applications, Data, Integration, Security).
  • Solid people relationship skills; operational and systems development skills
  • In depth understanding of Enterprise Architecture and Strategy roles, politics, human behavior and predictive scenarios related to Enterprise Architecture and Strategy leadership
  • Ability to coordinate complex service delivery models and respond to diverse needs of a variety of key-stakeholders
  • Exceptional customer service focus, high professionalism and adherence to ethical principles of conduct
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, self-starter
  • Ability to adhere to members and Info-Tech Research Group core value as a trusted executive
  • Familiarity with cloud transformation, SaaS modernization, AI/ML, and emerging technology trends.
  • Strong verbal, written, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Professional qualifications in this space such as SAFe, TOGAF, ArchiMate, DoDAF or similar are advantageous.
  • Must be flexible in taking calls during off hours if required.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French, Spanish or German is good to have to support our diverse client base across North America and globally.
  • Ability to travel approx. 25% of the time, as needed and obtain a TN1 Visa
