The Technical Business Analyst is instrumental in optimizing the Coates Technical Support organization's operational efficiency. Through adept tool management, process documentation, and collaboration, this role ensures seamless integration of technology and workflow processes, driving excellence in support delivery and process improvement.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with customers, product managers and business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document technical and functional business requirements that meet business outcomes
• Conduct workshops and interviews to elicit, validate, and document clear business requirements
• Map client requirements into product epics/features
• Decompose product epics/features into user stories/tickets with detailed functional and technical requirements, and clear acceptance criteria
• Develop strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients to define and confirm business requirements
• Provide content for the Product Manager to include in external-facing product documentation describing features, business rules, and use cases
• Create necessary artefacts, including capability gap analysis and process flow diagrams
• Support the maintenance and update of user guides based on functional changes as projects are delivered
• Support the creation of UAT test cases with the consideration of client acceptance scenarios and conduct internal UAT of delivered features
• Facilitate the creation of traceability matrices from detailed requirements to test cases
• Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and practices and propose practical solutions to be implemented
• Conduct research and develop a thorough understanding of customer needs and new technologies in collaboration with Product Managers to ensure alignment with Product vision
• Cross team collaboration to manage functional dependencies and ensure these are considered as part of sprint planning and during sprints
• Able to get into detail in terms of technical solutions to influence the best options for functional changes that still meet business needs but also meet strict project schedules

Qualifications
• 5+ years experience within a similar role
• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
• Experience in Digital Software for 5+ years (preferred)
• Experience creating detailed functional specifications for Digital software products (5 years)
• Experience using Figma to create or update wireframe designs as required
• Experience working in both agile and waterfall methodologies
• Experience using Jira and Confluence
• Knowledge of BABOK and business process mapping methods

Role to support International Markets
Full Salary Range: $106,260/year (minimum), $113,505/year (midpoint), $120,750/year (maximum).
Pay is based on relevant experience, skills, education, internal equity, and market data. Well-qualified candidates can generally expect offers around the midpoint. Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications but have more limited directly relevant experience for this specific role are typically placed nearer the minimum, while highly experienced candidates with strong role alignment may be placed closer to the maximum.
