Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or related roles.
• Strong expertise in data modeling techniques (conceptual, logical, physical).
• Proven experience creating logical data flow diagrams and data lineage documentation.
• Hands-on proficiency with SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Solid understanding of dimensional modeling, normalization, and denormalization.
• Experience collaborating with business, analytics, and engineering teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models supporting business and analytical needs.
• Develop logical data flow diagrams representing data movement across systems.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data architectures.
• Define and enforce data standards and modeling best practices.
• Perform hands-on work with SQL to validate models and optimize queries.
• Review and optimize existing data models for better performance and scalability.
• Support data integration, ETL/ELT, and reporting with clear architectural guidance.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across systems.
• Provide architectural input for cloud, on-prem, or hybrid data platforms.
• Mentor junior architects and data modelers as needed.
