Full Job Description
The Technical Architect supports internal teams, clients, and third parties as they integrate with the SeatGeek platform. The role is responsible for aligning requirements to the right integration approach, supporting the technical aspects of onboarding, and serving as a subject matter expert on SeatGeek's integration landscape, APIs, and related platform capabilities. In practice, the role now extends beyond traditional enterprise integration support. It spans technical discovery for new and existing integrations, API and credential guidance, onboarding support, product change management, documentation ownership, rollout support for new platform capabilities, and ongoing support for Ringside and other technical access patterns used by clients, partners, and internal teams. This role sits at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Implementations, Data Services, Legal, and client-facing teams. It requires sound technical judgment, strong organization, and the ability to turn ambiguity into repeatable processes, clear documentation, and scalable technical solutions. What you'll do • Maintain a detailed understanding of client requirements, third-party integrations, SeatGeek system configuration, and the technical touchpoints that support successful client and partner outcomes • Build and maintain a strong working knowledge of SeatGeek APIs, platform capabilities, and related technical workflows in order to support both internal teams and external partners with the data, access, and guidance they need • Lead discovery for new third-party integrations, API requirements, and technical change requests by gathering requirements, assessing fit with existing solutions, identifying gaps, and recommending the most appropriate path forward • Take ownership of third-party integration solutions and related technical processes, ensuring change requests are understood, documented, and supported through the right internal workflows • Work with external partners and client-facing teams on configuration questions and technically complex scenarios related to the SeatGeek full stack, APIs, credentials, and platform behavior • Partner with Solutions Architecture, Product, and Engineering to assess new requests and product changes against existing client processes, best practices, and platform constraints • Support the delivery, rollout, validation, and documentation of new functionality, including testing support, release validation, and follow-through on integration-related product changes • Manage and support technical access and provisioning workflows such as Developer Portal documentation access, Ringside sandbox access, Ringside credentials, Native Access Control credentials, SDK credentials, OAuth client provisioning, and related integration setup needs • Support technical onboarding and steady-state ownership for Ringside and similar platform access patterns, including partner guidance, documentation, credentials, and operational process support • Review scripts, workarounds, technical gaps, red flags, and bespoke scenarios raised by internal teams, and provide recommended solutions, best practices, and sign-off where appropriate • Create, maintain, and improve documentation, blueprints, templates, onboarding notes, and process guides so that technical knowledge is scalable, current, and easier for the broader business to use • Provide product and integration knowledge to internal teams such as Support, Implementations, and other client-facing groups, helping them navigate recurring questions and use the right technical pathways • Help standardize and improve how SeatGeek handles integrations, technical onboarding, and repeatable support patterns by identifying opportunities for productization, clearer ownership, and better internal process design What you have • 3+ years of experience in a technical solutions, implementation, architecture, or integration-focused role • 5+ years of client-facing experience, with the ability to lead meetings, gather requirements, explain technical concepts clearly, and represent SeatGeek well with external partners • Experience working with APIs, technical authentication and credentialing workflows, and third-party system integrations • Experience writing and maintaining technical documentation, process notes, or implementation guidance that others can reliably follow • The ability to assess requirements, identify risks and dependencies, and recommend a sensible path forward for both standard and bespoke use cases • Experience working in a remote, geographically dispersed, and cross-functional environment with multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities • Deep knowledge of ticketing technology and the broader platform or integration ecosystem that supports live event operations • Industry expertise, including an understanding of the needs and objectives of sports and entertainment-focused businesses • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach when working with internal SeatGeek teams and external partners; able to present technical ideas clearly in a wide variety of settings • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to translate complex technical issues, trade-offs, and system behavior into clear guidance for non-technical audiences • Highly organized and detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to manage competing priorities, structure ambiguous work, and keep multiple technical workstreams moving forward • Proactive, self-motivated, and conscientious perspective, with a rigorous approach to ownership, follow-through, and quality • Analytical and logical viewpoint, with the ability to define problems, gather relevant information, establish facts, and draw sound conclusions • Curiosity about how systems work and motivated to understand the rationale behind technical decisions, recurring issues, and integration patterns • Independence and comfort making decisions and executing against objectives without day-to-day supervision, while keeping broader team goals in mind • Collaboration, a low-ego partner who can bridge the gap between client needs and internal teams while balancing advocacy, practicality, and sound judgment Perks • Discretionary annual bonus • Flexible work environment, allowing you to work as many days a week in the office as you'd like or 100% remotely • A WFH stipend to support your home office setup • Unlimited PTO • Up to 16 weeks of fully-paid family leave • 401(k) matching • Student loan matching program • Health, vision, dental, and life insurance • Up to $25k towards family building, reproductive health services and Gender-affirming care • $500 per year for wellness expenses • Subscriptions to Headspace (meditation), Headspace Care (therapy), and One Medical • $360 per quarter to spend on tickets to live events • Annual subscription to Spotify, Apple Music, or Amazon music The salary range for this role is $84,000 - $121,000 USD.
