We're looking for a
Technical Applications Scientist -
Food Ingredients to join our dynamic team and bridge the gap between R&D and our customers. In this hands-on, customer-facing role, you'll support sales and marketing by developing custom applications, showcasing ingredient functionality, and driving innovation across the food and beverage industry.
We are looking for a sharp professional that possesses these top 3 skills:
- 5+ years of Food R&D experience (product development/formulation)
- Strong understanding of hydrocolloids
- Understanding of FDA, USDA, GMPs, SOPs
Pay: $90k-$100k
Schedule: M-F 8a-5p
Type of Job: Direct Hire/Permanent
Location : (100% On-site: Schoolcraft)
Technical Applications Scientist -
Food Ingredients Daily Tasks : What you will do:
- Provide technical support to Sales and Marketing through custom product applications, data, and training.
- Develop and present formulations that highlight ingredient functionality and benefits.
- Evaluate new raw materials and identify potential opportunities.
- Support customer visits and presentations alongside the Sales team.
- Create technical content (brochures, data sheets, presentations) and represent the company at industry events.
Technical Applications Scientist -
Food Ingredients Qualifications/Requirements: - B.S. degree or higher in Food Science or related field
- 5+ years of Food R&D experience (product development/formulation)
- Knowledge of hydrocolloids
- Understanding of FDA, USDA, FSIS, GMPs, and SOPs
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs. on occasion, siting, typing, viewing computer screen for long periods of time, standing
