Job Description:

The Technical Accounting Supervisor serves as a key member of the Technical Accounting and External Reporting team and is responsible for leading the Company's accounting policy governance framework while providing technical accounting support for complex transactions. This role partners closely with Accounting, Finance, Legal, Treasury, Tax, and business leaders to evaluate accounting implications of strategic activities, ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, and drive consistent application of accounting policies across the organization.

The position leads the maintenance and governance of enterprise accounting policies and procedures, monitors emerging accounting standards and regulatory developments, and assesses the impact of new guidance on the Company's financial statements, processes, and controls. The Technical Accounting Supervisor also prepares technical accounting analyses and position papers, supports SEC reporting and disclosure requirements, and serves as a subject matter expert on complex accounting matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the governance, maintenance, and periodic review of enterprise accounting policies and procedures, ensuring documentation remains current, accurate, and compliant with U.S. GAAP, SEC requirements, and internal control standards.
  • Coordinate with accounting policy owners and cross-functional stakeholders to review, update, approve, and communicate policy changes across the organization.
  • Research and analyze complex accounting transactions and contractual agreements to determine appropriate accounting treatment and reporting implications.
  • Prepare technical accounting memoranda and policy interpretations supporting significant transactions and accounting conclusions.
  • Evaluate new accounting standards, SEC regulations, and emerging accounting guidance; assess business impacts and coordinate implementation activities.
  • Support quarterly and annual financial reporting processes.
  • Ensure consistent application of accounting policies and accounting guidance across business units and functions.
  • Partner with internal and external auditors on accounting policy, technical accounting, and financial reporting matters.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance accounting policy governance, documentation processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and financial reporting processes
  • Experience researching and documenting complex accounting issues and preparing technical accounting memoranda
