WHAT WE DO:

The Trade Desk is on a mission to streamline and enhance advertising's supply chain on the Open Internet. The Inventory TAM discipline is the primary technical point of contact through which the media world's most premium publishers and sellers connect to the advertising world's premier buy-side platform: The Trade Desk. As experts in our proprietary technology, the TAM team executes integrations with SSPs and directly with publishers via OpenPath. Additionally, we consult on usage of identity products (UID2, OpenPass) and more broadly identify and execute on opportunities to improve relationships with supply-side partners through technical solutions. We are problem solvers and trusted experts, at the front of the company's newest initiatives.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Technical Account Managers oversee integrations with inventory/publisher partners. The TAM is responsible for guaranteeing the technical aspects of the assigned partner integrations (both new and ongoing) by providing necessary documentation and technical guidance. They serve as liaisons between our partners and Engineering teams. This candidate isn't expected to build software, but will be leveraging multiple technologies and tools to manage complex & custom integration projects. The Technical Account Manager should be a solution-oriented advisor and must be able to understand and communicate advanced engineering concepts to non-technical stakeholders. In addition to serving as a technical advisor the Technical Account Manager will also help identify new opportunities where our products can better help our partners' businesses.

SKILLS SUMMARY:
  • Strong acumen for technical account problem solving - including analytic, troubleshooting, and general problem-solving abilities.
  • Great written & verbal communication skills - this candidate will interact with some of our company's largest inventory partners. It's important to provide timely, professional customer service while making sure the projects stay on track. Candidates will also be responsible for documenting the client's project and keeping the team up to date on the status of the project
  • Fast learner - Candidate must be able to quickly grasp & learn new technical subjects and be able to explain them to others. Must be curious, creative, and thorough.
  • Ability to influence people - Partners often come in with an idea of what they want to do and this candidate will be responsible for advising them on the best possible solution, even if it's not what the client initially thought they wanted. This person will become a technical expert and must be able to act accordingly to consult with the client on their best solution.
  • Project management abilities - this candidate will be managing long-term (multi-month) integrations, and will be responsible for setting timelines, keeping all stakeholders up to date, and independently driving the process forward. Superb attention to detail is an absolute must.
  • Experience with a formal project management method is a plus.
  • Selfless Team Player - The person in this role will interact with business, engineering, product and clients, representing many different types of personalities and opinions. Candidate must be able to communicate and navigate between all parties.

Who you are:
  • 3+ years of work experience in a technical client-facing role
  • 1+ years of Ad Tech or tech industry experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university
  • Experience with SQL, web technologies/web programming languages, and API's is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrable creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform in a fluid, fast-paced work environment
  • Experience working with clients, product, and engineering teams - with the ability to break down complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficient working knowledge of Excel, Office and Outlook is a must
  • Experience with digital advertising technology is a major plus
  • Experience with Prebid integrations a plus


In accordance with various US state laws, the range provided is the Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as variable compensation-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is

$85,300-$156,400 USD
