Full Job Description
Role Purpose: To drive business growth by leveraging expertise and consultative sales skills to connect customer manufacturing challenges with Optek's laser micromachining solutions, ensuring clear value alignment and successful adoption of specialized material processing services.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue in laser micromachining services across target markets throughout the US
  • Identify, qualify and pursue new business opportunities while managing existing customer relationships
  • Serve as the technical liaison between customers and internal engineering/production teams
  • Analyze customer requirements (drawings, materials, tolerances) and propose optimal laser processing solutions
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and quotations
  • Collaborate with engineers to assess feasibility and manufacturability
  • Work with project management team to fulfil project delivery requirements
  • Maintain accurate forecasts and Salesforce records
  • Stay current on industry trends, materials, and competing technologies

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Preferred experience with laser micromachining (femtosecond, picosecond, or fiber laser systems)
  • Background in industries such as medical devices, semiconductors, microelectronics, photonics, and aerospace preferred
  • Familiarity with materials such as glass, plastics and polymers, metals, ceramics, and composites
  • Experience with Salesforce and technical quoting processes preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to manage complex, consultative sales cycles
