Work Schedule: 12 Hours, 2-2-3 schedule that runs 7am to 7pm (times may vary)
Discover Impactful Work:As a Team Leader in Formulation Manufacturing at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will guide a skilled team responsible for manufacturing high-quality pharmaceutical and biotechnology products while ensuring compliance with cGMP standards. You will support operational excellence through effective team leadership, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. This role combines technical expertise with people management to deliver important therapies that improve health outcomes.
A Day in the Life:- You will oversee daily manufacturing operations, coordinate production schedules, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- The position involves supporting team members, troubleshooting equipment and processes, managing documentation, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- You'll work closely with Quality, Engineering, and other departments to maintain robust manufacturing processes and resolve technical challenges.
- This role offers opportunities to make meaningful contributions to pharmaceutical development and commercial manufacturing while developing your leadership capabilities within an innovative organization.
Keys to Success: Education- Bachelor's degree highly preferred. Preferred Fields of Study: Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Engineering or related scientific field
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience- 2 years of pharmaceutical, or biotechnology manufacturing experience in cGMP environment required with a degree, and 3-4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience managing documentation, investigations, and change controls.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities- Strong knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and develop manufacturing personnel
- Excellent technical troubleshooting and process improvement capabilities
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Proficiency with manufacturing systems, documentation, and Microsoft Office suite
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends/holidays as required
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Knowledge of cleanroom and aseptic techniques
- Demonstrated commitment to safety culture and quality compliance
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functions

Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $66,000.00-$99,000.00.
