Your ResponsibilitiesAs a Team Leader Engineering, you will lead a Scrum team, serving as both a leader and superior to Software Engineers, Quality Assurance Engineers, and, where applicable, Cloud Administrators. Your role may include additional responsibilities as Scrum Master and/or Technical Lead. While your main focus is on team leadership, you will also participate in development and quality assurance activities alongside your team.
Your responsibilities will include:- Shape technical direction, foster team expertise, and oversee technical topics.
- Mentoring, developing, and supporting team members to build a strong, collaborative engineering team
- Managing team resources, facilitating communication, and ensuring effective information flow across teams, departments, and management
- Contributing to the technical direction of the team, ensuring product quality, and promoting technical learning
- Act as Scrum Master: Guide Scrum adoption and principles, improve team communication and development
- Facilitating Scrum processes, including organizing and leading meetings, motivating the team, supporting cycle planning, and collaborating with Product Owners
- Participating in engineering activities such as code reviews, test planning, breaking down backlog items, and providing third-level support to Customer Support
- Leading by example, embodying DocuWare's leadership principles of continuous culture development, value creation, and employee focus
What you need to succeed- Proven experience in engineering and team leadership, with a strong record of guiding technical teams in a collaborative environment
- Proficiency in software development practices, tools, and processes; familiar with agile methodologies and Scrum
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate information flow and collaboration between teams and stakeholders
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions, break down complex tasks, and contribute to technical planning and design
- Passion for mentoring, developing talent, and creating a culture of continuous improvement
- Creative thinking, problem-solving mindset, and openness to learning and change
- Experience with testing practices, code reviews, and supporting engineering quality
What we can offer- The pay range is between $140,000 and $189,000 depending on experience.
