CGI Drummondville is seeking a Software Development Technical Lead to play a strategic role in the management, evolution, and governance of software development teams. Working closely with Architecture, Product, and Quality Assurance teams, you will ensure excellence in development practices, continuous process improvement, and the delivery of high-performing solutions that meet business needs. Your future duties and responsibilities:• Lead, engage, and develop software development teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet business objectives
• Define and continuously evolve application development standards, best practices, and technical governance frameworks
• Establish development quality governance mechanisms and ensure their consistent application across teams
• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to code quality, technical debt, test coverage, and team performance
• Conduct periodic audits of application quality, development practices, and processes, and recommend appropriate improvement actions
• Ensure developers adhere to development standards, code review processes, and application development best practices
• Collaborate with business units to ensure alignment of technical directions and platform evolution with business needs and objectives
• Ensure the adoption and application of Agile, DevOps, and DevSecOps practices, while driving continuous improvement of delivery processes and best-practice adoption
• Ensure compliance with quality, security, performance, and maintainability requirements for all solutions
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence throughout the organization
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:• Minimum 10 years of experience in software development
• Experience in a leadership or management role overseeing software development teams
• Strong understanding of modern architectures, cloud environments, and software delivery practices
• Proven experience with Agile, DevOps, and DevSecOps methodologies and practice
• Experience establishing development standards, governance frameworks, and quality monitoring processes.
• Proficiency with software quality tools, performance metrics tracking, and technical debt management
• Ability to coach and support teams in continuous improvement, complex problem-solving, and the adoption of best practices
• Excellent leadership, influence, and team engagement skills
• Excellent communication skills in French (spoken, written)
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is 70 000$ et 135 000$. This role is an existing vacancy.
