Description

Quantum Sky is searching for a Team Lead, Application Services. This role will oversee the day-to-day development, implementation, and support of the organization's application and cloud services, working closely with the Director of Application Services to execute the broader application strategy. This role involves directly supervising a team of developers, systems engineers, and support staff, coordinating project delivery, and serving as a hands-on technical leader who also contributes individually to design and problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

 

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of application developers, system engineers, and support staff on a day-to-day basis. Set individual and team goals in alignment with direction from the Director, and support performance reviews and professional development. Promote a collaborative, high-quality, continuous-improvement culture within the team.

Project Execution:

  • Lead the execution of application projects from requirements gathering through implementation and post-launch support, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met. Coordinate daily work assignments and remove blockers for team members. Partner with cross-functional teams and the Director to clarify requirements and manage scope on assigned initiatives.

Application Support & Architecture:

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of application and cloud architecture that ensures scalability, security, and integration across systems, following standards set at the organization level. Help evaluate technologies and tools that improve application performance and functionality. Ensure applications and integrations follow best practices for data security, compliance, and performance. Support the adoption of AI agents and automation in the org.

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for third-party vendors and service providers, escalating contract or SLA issues to the Director as needed. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather feedback and communicate project status.

Operational Support:

  • Help manage the team's workload and resource allocation within budget parameters set by the VP of IT. Flag cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements to leadership.

Support & Maintenance:

  • Oversee ongoing support for business-critical applications, ensuring prompt issue resolution and minimal downtime. Support execution of the disaster recovery and business continuity plan. Monitor system performance and drive team-level initiatives for continuous improvement.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 to 7 years of experience in IT, including 2+ years in a lead or supervisory capacity within application services or software development.
  • Solid experience with software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps) and best practices.
  • Familiarity with enterprise application platforms (ERP, CRM, etc.) and integration frameworks.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Compensation:

  • Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically between $160,000-$175,000. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
