Full Job Description
Science Teacher

We are currently seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) science teacher to teach high school level science courses that may include a combination of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Biomedical, and Integrated Science courses. The candidate will be responsible for working with other members of the Social Studies Department to implement the curriculum. Candidates must be willing to teach according to Roman Catholic Church doctrine and values.

Eligibility
  • Bachelor's Degree in the selected discipline (or a closely related field) is required (BA, BFA or equivalent);
  • Master's Degree in Education or related field is preferred;
  • Prior teaching experience working with young people is preferred;
  • Teachers with previous experience in Catholic learning communities are preferred;
  • California Teaching Credential (or a commitment to obtain one within three years of hire) is preferred;
  • Standard health and background checks including Department of Justice fingerprinting is required.

Compensation

Salary range for this position is between $62,600 and $100,500 and is dependent upon attained education, credentials, qualifications, and experience. The school offers a comprehensive benefit package which includes participation in the Diocese of Oakland pension plan (8% employer contribution) and retirement program (403b), and full medical, visual, and dental plans.
