The Board of Education is seeking applications for the [redacted] school year for the following position:

TEACHER OF THE HANDICAPPED/TEACHER OF STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES
(10 Months - Certificated)
Washington Elementary - Paramus

Qualifications:
  1. New Jersey DOE Certificate required -Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities.
  2. New Jersey DOE certificate - P-3 (CE/CEAS or standard) required.
  3. Experience working with Autistic Individuals, ABA and discrete trial - preferred.
  4. Must be able to perform physical work, which requires frequent bending and lifting. Independently lift/carry up to 25 lbs., more than 25 lbs. with assistance.
  5. Ability to motivate students in a positive and creative learning environment.
  6. Willing and able to complete Crisis Management training.
  7. New Jersey residence within one (1) year from date to hire.
