Our client is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their team in a hybrid role based in New York, offering the opportunity to play a key role in overseeing tax compliance, planning, and strategic initiatives within a dynamic organization.

Job Function:
  • Manage and review federal, state, and local tax compliance for C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, and individuals (Forms 1120, 1120-S, 1065, 1040).
  • Provide guidance on complex technical tax issues and prepare high-quality memoranda, analyses, and planning recommendations.
  • Collaborate with partners and directors on client deliverables and strategic initiatives.Identify tax planning opportunities and risks and advise clients accordingly.
  • Oversee responses to IRS and state tax notices and assist with audit defense as needed.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop staff and senior-level team members.
  • Manage multiple client projects simultaneously and ensure a timely, high-quality work product.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across diverse industries.

  • 7+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting.
  • Experience supporting M&A transactions, including due diligence and tax structuring a plus.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in tax research and planning.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and tax research platforms (e.g., CCH, BNA, RIA). Knowledge of ProSystems FX preferred.
