Job Title: Talent Acquisition SpecialistJob DescriptionThe Talent Acquisition Specialist manages the full recruitment life cycle for corporate and exempt roles, including technical and non-technical professional and management positions. This role sources, screens, and recommends candidates using creative methods, while partnering closely with hiring managers and HR business partners to meet staffing needs. The position operates with a high level of independence, serves as a subject-matter expert for an assigned territory, and supports less experienced talent acquisition team members.
Responsibilities- Manage full-cycle recruiting from sourcing through offer and onboarding.
- Partner with hiring managers and HR to develop recruitment strategies and fill exempt and non-exempt roles.
- Source candidates through job boards, networking events, career fairs, referrals, and other recruiting channels.
- Conduct candidate screening, interviews, assessments, reference checks, and background checks.
- Present qualified candidates, extend offers, and communicate compensation and benefits information.
- Maintain accurate candidate and requisition data within the ATS.
- Support affirmative action planning, compliance initiatives, and recruiting process improvements.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and mentor junior recruiting team members.
Essential Skills- 5+ years of full-cycle corporate recruiting experience, including professional and management-level exempt positions.
- 3+ years of experience using ATS platforms and online recruiting tools.
- Strong background in both technical and non-technical recruiting.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including affirmative action requirements.
- Proven ability to manage multiple requisitions and stakeholders independently.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience recruiting within utilities, energy, transmission, nuclear, or related industries is highly preferred.
- Corporate recruiting experience preferred; IT-focused recruiting backgrounds are less relevant.
Work EnvironmentThis is an onsite position that offers a long-term contract opportunity with the potential to transition to full-time employment, subject to business needs and performance. The role provides paid time off and holiday pay, and you will perform your work using electronic applicant tracking systems and online recruiting tools. When travel occurs, it is typically to another company location within the same general radius. The work environment emphasizes collaboration with geographically dispersed hiring managers and HR partners, regular virtual meetings, and participation in online and in-person career or networking events as needed.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $44.30 - $44.30/hr.
