Full Job Description
About the Role:

Planet's mission to image the world every day depends on attracting the most capable engineers, operators, and commercial leaders in our industry. As we scale globally to deliver the next generation of Earth observation technology, our hiring runs at high intensity across a wide range of functions - and Talent Acquisition is at the center of that growth. We are seeking a temporary Talent Acquisition Partner to join us on an approximately six-month contract to add full-cycle recruiting capacity during our busiest hiring period. This is a generalist role: you will own a varied portfolio of requisitions that spans technical and non-technical functions, and your focus will shift as business priorities move. The constant is your craft - running an excellent, full-cycle process end to end and partnering closely with hiring managers wherever the need is greatest. We are looking for someone who is energized by variety, comfortable context-switching between very different searches, and able to deliver a high-quality candidate experience under real volume.

This is a full-time, hybrid role which will require you to work from our San Francisco office 3 days per week. This is a temporary, 6-month contract.

Impact You'll Own:
  • Own full-cycle recruitment end to end - from intake and sourcing strategy through screening, interview management, and offer - across a mix of technical and non-technical requisitions.
  • Partner with hiring managers as a consultative advisor: run intake meetings, calibrate on the ideal candidate profile, advise on the talent market, and keep searches moving against agreed timelines.
  • Build and manage healthy candidate pipelines, combining proactive sourcing with inbound applicant review to keep every search well-fed.
  • Flex your focus across business areas as hiring demand shifts, re-prioritizing your portfolio in partnership with TA leadership.
  • Deliver a thoughtful, consistent candidate experience that reflects Planet's values at every stage of the process.
  • Partner with People Business Partners on compensation calibration and offer creation, and with coordination partners on scheduling and interview logistics.
  • Maintain accurate, timely data in our applicant tracking system so that pipeline health and process status are always clear to stakeholders.

What You Bring:
  • 6-8 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage a high-volume, varied requisition load and prioritize across competing searches.
  • Experience recruiting across both technical and non-technical functions, and comfort quickly building credibility in unfamiliar domains.
  • A consultative approach to hiring manager partnership - you guide and advise rather than take orders, including on candidate profile and compensation.
  • Proficiency with an applicant tracking system (Greenhouse experience preferred) and a disciplined approach to recruiting data hygiene.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and the judgment to represent the company well to senior candidates.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities, and the self-direction to be productive with minimal onboarding.

What Makes You Stand Out:
  • Experience recruiting in fast-scaling, high-growth, or mission-driven organizations.
  • A track record of stepping into active portfolios - coverage, surge, or contract engagements - and delivering with minimal ramp.
  • Sourcing depth: the ability to build pipelines for hard-to-fill roles, not only manage inbound applicants.
  • Exposure to deep technology, hardware, aerospace, or enterprise software hiring.
