As a Talent Acquisition Partner - Legal & Corporate Affairs Recruiting, you will lead full-cycle recruiting efforts for specialized legal and corporate affairs talent across the United States. This role partners closely with Legal Services leadership, Government Affairs, Public Policy, Ethics & Compliance, Security, and Corporate Communications organizations to attract, assess, and hire exceptional talent.

You will leverage deep expertise in legal recruiting, consultative partnership skills, market intelligence, and innovative sourcing strategies to identify and secure highly sought-after legal and compliance professionals. This role is ideal for a recruiting professional who thrives in a highly consultative environment, enjoys building relationships with executive stakeholders, and has a passion for identifying top legal talent.

About the Team and the Business We Support

Our Corporate Services+ Talent Acquisition Team is comprised of talent acquisition professionals with extensive knowledge of the businesses we support. We partner directly with leaders across Corporate Services functions to deliver strategic workforce solutions and exceptional candidate experiences.

This position will primarily support talent acquisition activity within Legal Services, Government Affairs, Public Policy, Ethics & Compliance, Security and Corporate Communications.

The portfolio includes recruitment for individual contributor, manager, director, and specialized professional roles across the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted talent acquisition advisor to leaders and HR partners supporting Legal Services and Corporate Affairs organizations.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment activities including intake consultations, sourcing strategy development, candidate identification, screening, interviewing, offer support, and onboarding coordination.
  • Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies for attorneys, legal specialists, compliance professionals, government affairs professionals, communications talent, and leadership-level positions.
  • Provide market intelligence and talent insights to hiring leaders to support effective workforce planning and hiring decisions.
  • Build and maintain proactive candidate pipelines for hard-to-fill legal and corporate affairs positions.
  • Utilize Workday, Beamery, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing technologies to identify and engage qualified talent.
  • Conduct candidate screening and assessment activities to ensure alignment with role requirements and organizational needs.
  • Develop relationships with professional legal organizations, industry associations, and talent networks to strengthen recruiting capabilities.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience through proactive communication, stakeholder engagement, and effective process management.
  • Monitor recruiting metrics and utilize data to drive continuous improvement and inform business decisions.
  • Support strategic talent acquisition projects and enterprise recruiting initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Candidate Sourcing: Advanced knowledge of sourcing methods, talent mapping, market research, and candidate engagement strategies. Ability to attract and identify passive and active candidates for specialized professional and leadership roles.
  • Relationship Management: Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain trusted partnerships with hiring managers, HR partners, candidates, and executive stakeholders. Strong consultation and influencing skills.
  • Candidate Screening: Knowledge of structured candidate assessment methodologies and screening processes. Ability to evaluate candidates against business requirements and organizational competencies.
  • Staffing and Recruiting: Strong understanding of full-cycle recruiting processes, recruiting technologies, and talent acquisition best practices. Experience managing multiple concurrent requisitions while maintaining quality and responsiveness.

Preferred Skills

  • Legal Recruiting Expertise: Experience recruiting attorneys, legal professionals, paralegals, compliance specialists, or corporate governance talent. Experience supporting corporate legal departments, law firms, compliance organizations, or executive-level legal recruiting.
  • Customer and Market Focus: Ability to understand changing talent market conditions and proactively adjust recruiting strategies. Experience advising leaders on talent availability, competition, and market trends.
  • Recruiting Analytics: Experience using recruiting data and talent market intelligence to influence hiring decisions. Knowledge of tools such as LinkedIn Talent Insights, Talent Neuron, or similar market intelligence platforms.
  • Recruitment Channel Management: Demonstrated ability to leverage multiple sourcing channels including LinkedIn Recruiter, professional legal associations, referral networks, CRM tools, and targeted recruiting campaigns.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience utilizing Workday Recruiting, Beamery, LinkedIn Recruiter, or similar ATS and CRM platforms. Strong reporting and recruiting analytics capabilities.

Summary Pay Range:

$97,530.00 - $146,290.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
