Position SummaryReporting to the Director, Talent Acquisition, the Manager, Talent Acquisition will lead recruiting delivery across assigned business segments, ensuring IDEX attracts, engages, and hires high-quality talent in alignment with enterprise Talent Acquisition strategy and standards.
This role is central to executing a high-performing Talent Acquisition function by:
- Leading recruiting delivery across assigned segments, partnering with HR and business leaders to align hiring support to workforce needs and evolving business priorities
- Managing and developing a team of recruiters and/or sourcers, driving capability and accountability
- Overseeing recruiting delivery and team capacity management across a portfolio of approximately 60-80 active requisitions, aligned to business priorities and role complexity across supervisor, manager, and select high-impact individual contributor roles
- Serving as a player/coach, balancing leadership of recruiting delivery, team performance, and stakeholder partnerships while directly managing a targeted portfolio or critical or business-sensitive searches (typically 10-15 active requisitions).
- Supporting the evolution to a more centralized, scalable Talent Acquisition operating model by driving adoption, influencing stakeholders, and supporting change management efforts across the assigned business segments.
This position is based in Northbrook, Illinois at IDEX Corporate Headquarters. The role is required to work a hybrid schedule, with three days a week in the office.
Primary Responsibilities- Lead recruiting outcomes across assigned business segments, including workload prioritization, resource allocation, hiring outcomes, candidate quality, and adherence to enterprise Talent Acquisition standards.
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of Talent Acquisition professionals, including recruiters and/or sourcers, setting priorities, monitoring performance, building capability, and ensuring consistent delivery against expectations.
- Establish and monitor team performance expectations, including productivity, hiring outcomes, pipeline health, stakeholder satisfaction, and adherence to service-level commitments.
- Partner with HR Business Partners, hiring managers, and business leaders to understand workforce needs, define success profiles, align on selection criteria, and develop targeted recruiting strategies.
- Define and manage the appropriate recruiting approach for each search, including sourcing strategy, internal team utilization, external search partners, and escalation of critical or at-risk roles
- Personally lead a focused portfolio of complex, critical, or hard-to-fill searches, typically 10-15 active requisitions, while coaching the team and ensuring strong overall delivery performance.
- Implement and reinforce enterprise Talent Acquisition processes, tools, workflows, and governance, ensuring consistent intake, sourcing, assessment, interview practices, offer management, compliance, and data integrity.
- Use recruiting data, metrics, and market insights to assess performance, identify bottlenecks, improve time to fill, strengthen pipeline quality, and reduce reliance on external agencies.
- Drive proactive sourcing and pipeline strategies for critical and recurring roles in partnership with recruiters, sourcers, HR, and business leaders
- Partner with HR and business leaders to anticipate future talent needs, and critical capability gaps, develop proactive recruiting plans and talent pipelines align with business strategy.
- Coach hiring managers on structured interviewing, candidate evaluation, selection discipline, and inclusive hiring practices to ensure consistent and high-quality hiring decisions.
- Ensure a high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience through clear communication, disciplined process management, and consistent expectations across the recruiting lifecycle.
- Support employer brand and talent attraction initiatives in partnership with Talent, HR, Communications, and business stakeholders.
- Lead or support Talent Acquisition initiatives that improve process consistency, reporting, technology adoption, sourcing effectiveness, and operating model implementation.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, policies, data privacy requirements, and fair hiring practices
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree required; degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial & Organizational Psychology, or related field preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive Talent Acquisition or recruiting experience, including full-cycle recruiting, sourcing, and stakeholder partnership.
- Demonstrated experience directly leading, coaching, or managing recruiters, sourcers, or project teams
- Demonstrated success managing recruiting delivery across multiple requisitions, functions, or business units in a complex, matrixed environment.
- Experience influencing or leading recruiting delivery across teams, functions, or business segments in a matrixed environment
- Experience partnering with HR and business leaders to translate workforce needs into recruiting strategies and execution plans.
- Proven success leading complex or hard-to-fill searches, including proactive sourcing and candidate assessment.
- Experience implementing or improving Talent Acquisition processes, tools, metrics, or operating model practices.
- Strong understanding of recruiting lifecycle, sourcing strategies, structured interviewing, and hiring best practices.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems and recruiting tools.
- Ability to leverage data and analytics to guide decision-making and improve recruiting outcomes.
- Knowledge of employment laws, compliance standards, and data privacy requirements.
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or complex B2B environments strongly preferred.

Total RewardsThe compensation range for this position is $112,700.00 - $169,100.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
