Full Job Description
Part of IDEX Corporation, Advanced Flow Solutions (AFS) headquartered in Oklahoma City, OK is a group of IDEX Fluid and Metering businesses (Liquid Controls, Corken, and SAMPI) that provide the refined fuels, LPG, and aviation fuels markets with mission critical fluid measurement and movement devices such as flow meters, pumps, compressors and integrated flow systems. AFS is seeking a results-driven and actively engaged Senior Manager, Supply Chain to join our OKC team as a visible leader who leads from the front.

The Senior Manager, Supply Chain, is responsible for leading the day-to-day execution of purchasing, sourcing, supplier performance, inventory management, and materials planning activities to support business objectives and customer commitments. This role drives operational excellence across the supply chain function by ensuring material availability, improving supplier performance, optimizing inventory levels, and supporting cost reduction initiatives.

The Senior Manager partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Sales to resolve supply chain challenges, improve performance, and deliver dependable service to internal and external customers. This position leverages ERP systems and data analytics to drive informed decision-making, process discipline, and continuous improvement.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supply Chain Operations & Team Leadership
  • Manage daily Purchasing, Sourcing, Inventory Control, and Supplier Management activities.
  • Lead and develop team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Execute supply chain initiatives aligned with business and operational objectives.
  • Support the development and implementation of standardized supply chain processes and best practices.
  • Drive operational improvements that enhance customer service, inventory performance, and supplier reliability.

Purchasing & Sourcing
  • Support sourcing initiatives focused on cost, quality, delivery, and supply continuity.
  • Participate in supplier negotiations and contract management activities.
  • Drive annual cost savings and productivity initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to identify alternate sources and improve supply chain flexibility.
  • Monitor market conditions and supplier performance to proactively address risks and opportunities.


Supplier Performance Management
  • Identify, qualify, develop, and manage suppliers that support operational and customer requirements.
  • Establish and maintain supplier scorecards measuring quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost performance.
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews and coordinate improvement plans where necessary.
  • Partner with suppliers to improve service, quality, and supply continuity.
  • Coordinate mitigation and recovery activities related to supplier performance issues or supply disruptions.

Inventory & Materials Management
  • Optimize inventory levels to balance customer service requirements with inventory investment objectives.
  • Improve inventory accuracy, material availability, and inventory turns.
  • Manage forecasting, replenishment, and materials planning processes.
  • Reduce shortages, excess inventory, and obsolete inventory through proactive planning and analysis.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Sales to align inventory strategies with demand requirements.

ERP & Supply Chain Process Excellence
  • Leverage ERP and planning systems to improve purchasing effectiveness, inventory visibility, and planning accuracy.
  • Ensure data integrity and adherence to standard supply chain processes.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency and operational effectiveness.
  • Utilize reporting tools and dashboards to support decision-making and performance management.

Customer Focus & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Support on-time delivery and customer satisfaction objectives.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Sales to resolve supply chain constraints and material shortages.
  • Coordinate resolution of supply chain issues impacting production schedules or customer commitments.
  • Escalate significant supply risks and support development of corrective actions.
  • Promote a customer-focused mindset across the supply chain organization.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, sourcing, materials management, or operations within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing supplier relationships, inventory planning, purchasing, and materials management processes.
  • Strong ERP/MRP system experience and proficiency utilizing data to drive operational decisions.
  • Proven ability to solve operational challenges and improve process performance through collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • APICS, CPSM, CPM, Lean, or related supply chain certification.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of supplier development and inventory optimization methodologies.

WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:
  • Primarily plant floor and office environment; frequent interaction with production teams.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.; moderate noise levels typical of manufacturing settings.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, and visually inspect operations regularly.
  • Regular, predictable, and full-time physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position.
