SUMMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Atalco Gramercy, LLC is seeking a dynamic and self-driven leader to lead all strategic planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution of major unit shutdowns, maintenance events, or capital projects. This role will ensure safe, on-time, and within-budget completion by coordinating multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Leadership & Execution
  • Lead end-to-end turnaround programs, including assessment, planning, execution, and stabilization phases
  • Develop and manage detailed recovery plans with clear milestones, KPIs, and timelines
  • Oversee multiple workstreams to ensure alignment with turnaround objectives
  • Drive accountability across cross-functional teams to meet aggressive targets

Business Assessment & Strategy
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify operational, financial, and organizational issues
  • Translate findings into actionable turnaround strategies and initiatives
  • Partner with executive leadership to define recovery goals and success metrics

Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as primary point of contact for senior leadership and key stakeholders
  • Provide frequent updates on program progress, risks, and outcomes
  • Facilitate decision-making through clear communication and structured governance

Financial & Operational Improvement
  • Track financial impacts, including cost reduction, revenue recovery, and margin improvement
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and process optimization
  • Implement performance tracking dashboards and reporting mechanisms

Risk & Issue Management
  • Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies impacting turnaround success
  • Develop mitigation and contingency plans
  • Escalate critical concerns with recommended solutions

Change Management
  • Lead organizational change initiatives to support turnaround efforts
  • Foster a culture of accountability, urgency, and continuous improvement
  • Support leadership teams in driving adoption of new processes and behaviors


SKILLS, COMPETENCIES and QUALIFICATIONS

PRE-EMPLOYMENT:
  • Must successfully complete Atalco Gramercy's required drug screening and physical examination.
  • TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) required prior to offer acceptance; MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) training to be completed upon hire.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrated ability to identify key stakeholders, understand their needs and expectations, communicate effectively, and maintain strong, trust based relationships that support successful project outcomes and organizational goals.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver presentations and facilitate discussions with diverse audiences including leadership, technical teams, and non-technical staff.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Actively contributes to a collaborative team environment by sharing expertise, supporting colleagues, and guiding others through effective facilitation, coaching, and mentoring, as well as influencing others without direct power.
  • Computer: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Internet Explorer, and other general-purpose and industry-specific software specifically SAP (CMMS), EHS Insights, other Site specific software.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering discipline from an accredited institution is required. Advanced degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant 10+ years' experience in Turnaround Management within a industrial, manufacturing, energy or safety-critical environment.
  • Experience managing plant turnarounds in coordination with operations, engineering, maintenance, and external contractors.
  • Alumina refinery experience preferred
  • Equivalent combinations of relevant education and experience will be considered.
  • Experience in restructuring, consulting, or distressed business environments a plus
  • Certifications: PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar
  • Must be eligible to work in the US.


LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret information. Ability to write reports and basics business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, managers, clients, customers and the general public.
