Job Description Summary
The Systems Engineer will have oversight and responsibility for technical and program execution of T408 Affordability programs, including those that directly impact product cost and adjacencies that impact life cycle cost, such as reliability, maintainability and ILS. You will be the prime program technical point of contact that will enable the team to meet both short- and long-term affordability targets to benefit the current CH-53K program and increase competitiveness for future opportunities. You will also be an integral part of the production-program-proposal-team providing input to engine cost volume and pricing process. In this role, you will coordinate program execution by working with Systems Engineering, Design Engineering, and Supply Chain.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Recommend the approach to meet the technical and program requirements
  • Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules and contract commitments, executing existing CRI contracts on budget
  • Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems
  • Provide technical guidance to other personnel and assigned teams
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
  • Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments
  • Lead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and/or tasks
  • Lead and energize the team members
  • Help define and execute on team strategies
  • Help establish work group goals within the framework of section technical and financial objectives
  • Help establish overall team goals, metrics, capturing of lessons-learned, and developing robust processes and practices
  • Maintain broad awareness of efforts within group to assure technical quality excellence, timely completion of work and reviews, appropriate use of resources, and responsiveness to customer / program needs
  • Facilitate communication of technical business information within Aviation and between other GE businesses, organizations and within the work group
  • Communicate with other management on technical, organizational, program, and resource issues
  • Lead and mentor other team members in the organization
  • Partner with Military Customer, Project Affordability Leader and ILS focals on life cycle cost models and assumptions to drive product strategy
  • Partner with the Systems Delivery and Producibility focal to prioritize and implement projects that have the biggest impact on T408 affordability
  • Provide input to T408 Model Engineer to influence CIP and CRI strategies as part of overall T408 platform strategy.
  • Partner with Sourcing, Manufacturing Programs, Systems Engineering and Project on identifying upcoming negotiation opportunities, up and coming suppliers in the different commodities, and technologies that impact product cost.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited university or college
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in a program or project leadership role within an engineering environment (including experience leading large, cross functional teams)

The base pay range for this position is 149,500.00 - 198,950.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on September 7th, 2026.
