Description & RequirementsAs a Systems Software Engineer , you will help us build the engine and platform technology supporting gameplay, animation, rendering, online, front end, and tools. You will solve performance-sensitive problems, own scoped features, and partner with UFC teams.
You will work in a hybrid model, spending three days per week at our EAV Studio in Burnaby, British Columbia, reporting to the Senior Software Engineer.Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain our shared engine, platform, automation, and release systems.
- Help our teams design and ship features through reusable technical solutions.
- Improve performance, memory use, load times, stability, and workflows.
- Own assigned systems from implementation through testing and delivery.
- Track technical KPIs and collaborate with our franchise and central technology teams.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong C++ skills and experience with large, performance-sensitive codebases.
- Understanding of memory management, multithreading, runtime performance, and platform constraints.
- Experience with game engines or real-time systems.
- Experience delivering systems end to end.
- Experience in utilizing AI-assisted development tools (e.g. coding agents) to rapid prototype, accelerate execution and automate workflows, with the ability to critically review and validate AI-generated code.
Pay Transparency - North AmericaCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$104,500 - $142,800 CAD
