As an ATLO (Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations) Electrical Test Engineer on the Orion program, you will be responsible for the planning, preparation, and execution of electrical systems production testing of the Orion spacecraft. The Orion electrical test position will be responsible for one or more of the following subsystems: APW (Avionics, Power and Wiring), GNC (Guidance, Navigation and Control), C&T (Communications and Tracking) or C&DH (Command and Data Handling)Key Responsibilities- Be the owner and subject matter expert to execute system level test procedures for current flight articles under Orion production
- Develop, maintain, execute and closure of test plans, test procedures, flags and automated test scripts for system and subsystem-level electrical tests on the Orion spacecraft.
- Perform test procedure and test script checkout in the Orion Test Labs (Denver/Houston)
- Collaborate with team members across the program including systems engineering, CPEs/RSEs, software, test labs, manufacturing, quality, and NASA to incorporate requirements into procedures and scripts.

Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems and/or systems. Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations. Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance. Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or closely related degree with experience.
- Must have hands-on electrical or aerospace test experience.
- Willing to work extended hours, including 2nd/3rd shifts and weekends in support of our production test activities.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements and dynamic schedules
- Willing to travel (20%)
- Must be a United States citizen
Desired Skills• Fundamental knowledge of test engineering / operations processes
• Experience writing test plans, test procedures, or technical documents
• Experience in subsystem/system electrical integration and powered testing
• Experience preparing for and executing spacecraft or system-level tests
• Knowledge of the Orion spacecraft or experience on a production spacecraft program
• Current or former Certified Test Conductor (CTC)
• Experience with spacecraft commanding and telemetry monitoring software
• Familiarity with electrical ground support equipment and test equipment
• Experience using Automation Framework tools
• Understanding of automated test scripts and configuration management
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00
