Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineering Manager to join the Space Protection Programs team within the National Security Space (NSS) Line of Business.
The Chief Systems Engineer and Functional Talent Center Leader will work closely with the Chief Engineer team on a development program within the Space Protection Programs (SPP) portfolio in Denver, Colorado.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Support CE role to ensure integrity of system/segments/subsystems design, integration, verification and certification, including compliance of segment requirements, sub-system specs, ICDs, CONOPS, and hardware and software to achieve physical-logical integration
• Ensure the logical conversion of mission priorities into requirements and a balanced total system solution to determine best-value outcomes to design trades
• Assist CPEs & RSEs to ensure system interfaces are properly specified, integrated, tested and verified within CPE products and across the integrated Sub-Systems and System from development through ATLO and launch
• Provide technical leadership and critical readiness assessments for major design reviews
• Ensure technical baseline management by application of engineering rigor, consistency, attention to detail, and technical integrity to insure compliance to LM Command Media in support of program design review boards (ERB, QRB, MRB, FRB, TIB, etc.)
• Provide thought-leadership to proactively engage with program leadership &/or customer to resolve open actions or concerns
Basic Qualifications
• Demonstrated success in early program development and transitioning into AI&T execution and delivery
• Experience working in a technical leadership role
• Experience in one or more systems or subsystems areas such as RF, electronics, avionics, software, power, structures & mechanisms, Guidance Navigation and Control, systems architecture, CONOPS, or Assembly, Integration & Test
• Experience coordinating with multiple engineering functions (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Flight Sciences, Materials, Manufacturing, Test, etc.)
• Proven satellite Certified Principal Engineer (CPE), Responsible Systems Engineer (RSE), or Chief Systems Engineer (CSE) experience
• Active or Current Top Secret Clearance. US Citizenship is required

• Recognized as an authority in systems thinking techniques with the demonstrated ability to apply them to a wide range of sophisticated problems and train others in their application
• Active or Current SCI or other SAP clearance

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 - $226,435. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $147,700 - $255,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
