The High-Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program is in search of a Systems Engineering Manager.

As a System Engineering Manager supporting the Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program, you will play a pivotal role in translating mission objectives into clear system design. In this role, you will:
• Report to the WSE System Senior Manager supporting system design for both United States Government and existing/future Foreign Military Sales contracts.
• Manage development and maintenance for the End-to-End Simulation (ETESIM) for the weapon system.
• Manage Development Software for a Hi-fidelity simulation (C, C++, Fortran, and Python)
• Manage Development Software for a med-fi simulation (C, C++)
• Ensure / Approve Builds and development documentation updates
• Oversee refactor of Software for legacy software architecture
• Manage team Debug of issues during integration testing
- Build, update, and verify unit test procedures for software change request (SCR)
• Control and advance the update of compilers via Linux operating system
• Participate in system level design reviews and performance interchange meetings for future capabilities.
• Interact well with peers, leadership, customers and subcontractors
• Support technical discussions, and communicate in a clear and concise manner
• Take the initiative to support the WSE organizations goals

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related technical field
• Knowledge of systems engineering concepts and processes
• Experience with software engineering development and/or model integration into a simulation environment
• Project or Technical leadership experience
• Active or Current DOD Secret Security Clearance
Desired skills
• Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) design and analysis
• Experience with software containers and builds
• Medium or high fidelity simulation experience
• System performance assessment tactics
• Scripting with Python, Matlab, Unix, Linux, Shell, Bash, C++, etc...
• Agile development experience and understanding
• Experience Simulation Requirements development/decompositions
• Experience with Simulation test and integration
• Experience as a product owner
• Strong ability to coach, mentor, and build high-performing engineering teams
• Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership behaviors (deliver results, shape the future, build effective relationships, energize the team, model personal excellence, integrity and accountability)
• Strong communications skills
• Advanced Degree

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 - $226,435. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $147,700 - $255,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
