Systems Engineer

Job Title: Technical Advisor, Systems Engineering

Job Summary:

KBR is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our Team in El Segundo, CA. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Responsibilities:
  • Performs a variety of engineering work in the development of an operable system of systems capable of meeting requirements within imposed constraints including mass, cost and schedule.
  • Designs and/or researches system interfaces to ensure that subsystems are integrated and work together to form a viable complete end-to-end system.
  • Performs functional analysis of a kill chain to ensure it meets performance criteria and mission constraints and to feed the analysis results back to the subsystem development teams.
  • Formulates, recommends, and directs operations and procedures to resolve engineering and/or technical problems regarding operations, staffing, and equipment utilization on a specific project or projects.
  • Develops acquisition roadmaps to ensure system development timelines meet operational requirements within need dates.
  • Provides technical assistance and instruction relative to design problems and the resolution of construction or operating difficulties.
  • Conducts special studies and investigations related to project activities and recommends changes as appropriate to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and meet changed or new requirements.
  • Analyzes project requirements and provides information and instruction for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, designing, and modifying equipment as appropriate.
  • Anticipates internal and external business challenges and/or regulatory/compliance issues. Recommends process, product, or service improvements. Solves unique and complex problems that have a broad impact.
  • Requires conceptual and innovative thinking to develop solutions.
  • Mentors and advises project teams on projects with notable risk and complexity.
  • Develops the strategy for project execution.

Compensation:
  • For California only, the salary range for this position is approximately $170,000 - $205,000. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.


Other Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
