The Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team is in search of a Mid-Career Systems Engineer to be part of the multi-disciplined engineering team responsible for designing and certifying missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to conflict.

This role is a System Integration Engineer responsible for integrating the electrical design, mechanical design, software design, and architecture for your respective major subsystem.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
• Accountability and authority with respect to your subsystem integration and will be supporting the Chief Engineer, System Engineer Product Owner and All-Up-Round (AUR) System Integration Lead.
• Subsystem Integrators drive the integration effort and identify resolution plans, assign tasks, negotiate commitments, and track issues to closure.
• Establish and host subsystem integration working group forum, serving as the focal to drive integration issues to closure
• Elevate cross subsystem integration issues to the AUR level as they are identified
• Drive the identification of critical integration events and the planning necessary to execute them
• Support design reviews and integration events for your respective subsystem
• Support Mass control board for your respective subsystem
• Support Power control board for your respective subsystem
• Establish pointing and alignments budget with Mechanical integrator and Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) - drive standardization of content, format, process across subsystems

Basic Qualifications
• Experience and full knowledge of processes in one or more of the following areas:
- Risk and opportunity management
- Systems Engineering
- Requirement definition, decomposition, and allocation
- Interface definition (ICD, IBDs, IDDs)
- Planning and coordinating Hardware and/or software testing for verification
- Performing System Integration and test - integration of major system level testbeds
- Support to major reviews
- Writing Specifications, DOORS usage
- Electrical Integration
- Software Integration
- Mechanical Integration
- HW/SW Integration
Desired skills
• Bachelor of Science within Engineering or related discipline
• Direct, relevant experience with MDA customer
• Minimum of 7+ years of system integration experience
• Integration across multiple HW delivering suppliers
• Experience with one or more of the following:
- Presenting at major reviews
- Missile system experience
- MatLab, and/or other or analysis tools
- Hardware/Software Development
- Missile or Weapon System Development
- CONOPS or Architecture Development
- System Level trade studies

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 - $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $125,600 - $217,695. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
