Qualifications/Requirements:
Provides digital systems engineering expertise to help establish and translate user sustainment needs into technically feasible system-level requirements. Provides balanced estimates of effectiveness, performance, cost, schedule, and risk for selecting credible candidate materiel concepts. Leverages digital and avionics integration experience in analyzing outputs from flight management systems, mission computers, air data systems, and other vehicle management systems. Translates raw telemetry, sensor outputs, and diagnostic logs into a precise understanding of actual aircraft performance and component wear. Applies functional aircraft system knowledge to develop algorithms for anomaly detection, failure modes, and performance degradation. Addresses complex tasks related to data integrity, analytical determinism, and fault notification to predict maintenance actions before functional failure occurs. Coordinates with cross-functional areas, applying engineering expertise across logistics, maintenance, and operations. Ensures seamless integration of predictive insights at the weapon system level to optimize supply chain actions, resource allocation, and aircraft availability.

Performs multidisciplinary professional engineering work involving the application of electronics, mechanical, aerospace, and/or other engineering disciplines or specialty areas to determine the business and technical needs of customers in the acquisition, development, or sustainment of weapon systems, sub-systems, support systems, equipment items, or an equivalent product.
Functions as the organization's technical specialist in developing system performance requirements, objectives and integration, and the estimation of time and resources for system design, development, and support.
