Systems Engineer
II/III
Security Clearance: Active DoD Secret required
Work Environment: Onsite / closed-area environment, Huntsville, AL
Travel: Up to 10%

The successful candidate will apply systems engineering principles throughout the product-development lifecycle, with an emphasis on requirements engineering, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), architecture, interfaces, and system verification.

Responsibilities
  • Apply systems engineering processes and principles to the development of complex product solutions.
  • Develop, analyze, manage, and verify system requirements.
  • Utilize DOORS for requirements development and management.
  • Develop and maintain system models using Cameo and MBSE methodologies.
  • Support software development and verification of requirements.
  • Develop systems engineering artifacts including specifications, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), use cases, system architecture descriptions, trade studies, and related technical products.
  • Support system architecture and interface-development activities.
  • Participate in technical reviews, engineering discussions, and multidisciplinary team activities.
  • Translate complex engineering concepts into clear technical work products and presentations.
  • Collaborate with software, test, modeling and simulation, and other engineering disciplines.
Required Qualifications

  • Ability to support an onsite, closed-area work environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%.
  • Current active, in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance required to start.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with software development and verification of requirements.
  • Experience supporting Missile Defense Agency or similar DoD programs.
  • Battle Management and/or Fire Control experience.
  • MBSE and/or INCOSE certifications.
  • Experience developing systems engineering artifacts, including specifications, ICDs, use cases, system architecture descriptions, and trade studies.
