Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Systems Engineer to join our Information Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise IT infrastructure to ensure system reliability, security, and performance. You will manage servers, cloud environments, virtualization platforms, networking systems, and enterprise applications while providing technical support and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure.

Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability to ensure optimal operation.

Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers.

Administer cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Manage virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, networking, and infrastructure issues.

Configure and maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and identity management services.

Implement security patches, system updates, and vulnerability remediation.

Develop and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.

Automate routine administrative tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripting.

Monitor system logs and proactively identify performance or security concerns.

Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system configurations.

Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to support IT projects and infrastructure improvements.

Ensure compliance with company security policies and industry best practices.

Provide Tier II/III technical support and participate in on-call rotations as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems engineering, systems administration, or IT infrastructure.

Experience with Windows Server and Linux administration.

Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.

Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and routing.

Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and security best practices.

Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.
