What You Will Do:
  • Designs and implements IT systems to achieve enterprise level strategic and technical goals.
  • Ensures existing and new systems architectures are aligned with the enterprise goals and objectives.
  • Provides architectural expertise level direction to systems engineering team and software engineering teams.
  • Develops, documents, and communicates plans for systems architecture, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.
  • Researches emerging technologies in support of systems development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and systems flexibility.
  • Oversees implementation of end-to-end integrated systems.
  • Documents systems architecture and system performance goals and checks system performance metrics.
  • Confer with end-users and division managers to define customer requirements for complex systems and infrastructure development.
  • Models and creates proof of concepts of systems processes based on findings through use case scenarios, workflow diagrams, and data models.
  • Develops and executes test plans to check infrastructure and systems performance, reports on findings, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Develops, documents, communicates and enforces a policy for standardizing systems and software as necessary.
  • Experience working with Microsoft based products or Cisco networking equipment.
  • Engages with peers to accomplish daily tasks, and communicates with the customer point of contact daily. Installs, maintains, and coordinates the use of servers and associated networks.
  • Evaluates hardware and software, develops security procedures, analyzes network designs, and researches new technologies.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems. Implements and coordinates network policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Works independently without direct supervision.
  • Essentially manages the server environment for daily operational success.
  • This position is critical in making sure support is provided correctly. Primary responsibility will be maintaining Windows 2016 servers or later, provide application management, Active Directory management, Server Cluster administration network maintenance and support, security, backup, and recovery using backup Exec.
  • As this position is primary focused in working in a team environment the qualified candidate will be responsible for mentoring others.


What You Will Need:
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of FOUR (4)+ years of work experience.
  • Technical experience required.
  • Experience working with MS 2008 servers in Troubleshooting, administering, configuring, installation, patching, backup and recovery.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in several of the following: Security systems engineering; Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, Intrusion Detection, Encryption. Experience in data center management, Windows Server Clustering, SQL Server 2017 or 2019, NetIQ, web application hosting, F5, VMWare, VCenter, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Operations Manager.
  • Experience working with MS 2016 or 2019 servers in Troubleshooting, administering, configuring, installation, patching, backup, and recovery.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in several of the following: Security systems engineering; Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, Intrusion Detection, Encryption.   • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.

The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
