OverviewThis is a full-time opportunity located in Coronado, CA.
Responsibilities- Plans, executes, and documents surveillance of design, development, and production efforts on behalf of government counterparts, using performance indicators identified in applicable engineering surveillance processes.
- Provides significant, expert-level support to government counterparts regarding the adequacy and clarity of agency engineering and analysis processes based on daily application of the processes and agency reporting requirements.
- Completes advanced engineering demand tasks such as reviewing engineering change proposals, requests for waivers and deviations, and nonconforming materials.
- Provides expert-level inputs for status briefings to leadership, outlining assigned programs, projects, problems, and recommended resolution.
- Analyzes trends in performance indicators to assist government counterparts with managing Agency-level performance indicators, recommending corrective action, establishing lessons learned, and influencing the improvement of processes.
QualificationsMinimum Experience:Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS w/SCI eligibility
Certifications: DAWIA Practitioner Equivalency IAW the PWS (DAWIA level II equivalent), and in Test and Evaluation or Engineering (systems, computer, or electrical) or equivalent fields. DAWIA Level III desired
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer, electrical, mechanical, or systems engineering,
Years of Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant engineering experience to include:
- Experience in evaluating technologies for incorporation into identified Program Office portfolios, developing/managing technical contracts, and identifying/coordinating technical issues and policy across various technical capability areas
- Working knowledge of the Defense Acquisition Framework process.
- Knowledge of technical, price, and cost analysis sufficient to review proposals, actual and estimated expenditures to determine reasonableness or to determine a negotiation position.
- Knowledge of methods and techniques of fact-finding, analysis, and resolution of complex contracting problems, and the ability to develop concrete action plans to solve problems.
