ASRC Federal is seeking a highly experienced, senior-level, multi-discipline Systems Engineer and C4I/IAMD Subject Matter Expert to support Department of the Air Force (DAF) initiatives focused on enhancing coalition interoperability and integrated air and missile defense (IAMD) capabilities. The selected candidate will work directly with senior DAF personnel, international partners, and cross-organizational stakeholders to develop, integrate, and advocate for foreign military C4ISR and IAMD capabilities that advance U.S. and coalition operational effectiveness. The candidate will represent U.S. Government interests in multinational discussions, program development, and technical exchanges while providing authoritative operational, tactical, and technical guidance across the full spectrum of IAMD training, employment, and system integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a senior systems engineering and operational C4I/IAMD expert supporting strategic integration of foreign military C4ISR and IAMD capabilities.
  • Engage directly with senior DAF leadership, program offices, and international partners to advance coalition interoperability objectives.
  • Develop, evaluate, and advocate for integrated C4ISR and IAMD system architectures, operational concepts, and program strategies.
  • Provide U.S. Government representation in multinational forums, briefings, and technical working groups involving integrated C4ISR programs.
  • Deliver in-depth operational, tactical, and technical expertise on the export, employment, and integration of IAMD and C2 family-of-systems, subsystems, components, and associated implementation details.
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation, briefings, and architecture products covering the full range of IAMD training and operational employment in peacetime and contingency operations.
  • Interface with senior foreign military leaders and technical SMEs, providing clear, concise, audience-tailored communication on complex system-of-systems topics.
  • Support multiple concurrent projects, collaborating with government personnel, MITRE, contractors, and U.S. military organizations.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant domain experience.
  • Top Secret clearance (with investigation within the last 5 years) with final SCI eligibility along with SAP and NATO Secret.
  • Demonstrated experience as a pilot, weapons systems operator, or crew member in E-3, E-2, JSTARS, E-7, and/or operator in an AOC, CRC or Combatant Command Center. A minimum of 500 flying hours is preferred.
  • Active flying or crew member experience within the last eight (8) years preferred.
  • Experience working with foreign militaries.
  • Demonstrated experience working C2/Comm and/or battle management experience working with communication nodes.
  • Minimum of 10 years providing operational, tactical and technical subject matter expertise supporting Integrated Air And Missile Defense; ground and air surveillance radar; datalink planning and employment; experience with COMSEC; C2 tactics, training, and operations (E-3, E-7, E-2D, TAC-P, AOC, CRC, Patriot, THAAD, IBCS).
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience working with CJADC2, ABMS, C3BM, tactical communications (waveforms, software defined), PNT (GPS, INS), and adjunct sensors.
  • Travel 25% - 50%


Preferred Qualifications
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated systems engineer with demonstrated ability to create enterprise- and system-level architectures for ground-based C4ISR capabilities.
  • Operational and engineering understanding of at least three of the following areas:
    • Tactical data links including Link-16 (MIL-STD-6016, MIL-STD-3011C)
    • Ground-based air surveillance radars and associated information systems
    • Ground-based air defense systems and associated information systems
    • C4ISR Common Operational Picture (COP) concepts, capabilities, and systems
    • Strategic and tactical air defense design principles and processes
    • Air Tasking Order (ATO) development and execution cycles
  • Demonstrated ability to brief and engage senior foreign military leadership and high-level government officials.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor complex technical discussions to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Familiarity with secure military networks processing, storing, and transmitting U.S. classified military information.
  • Willingness and ability to travel overseas, including to potentially hazardous locations (South America, Europe, Middle East).
  • Previous experience as a Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO).
  • Experience providing technical/operational support to a US AOC/CAOC.
  • Prior DoD experience in Foreign Military Sales (FMS) or International Affairs, especially involving customers in the Middle East & Africa (MEA).
  • Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders including contractors, MITRE, government program offices, and U.S. military units.
