Full Job Description

About the role:

As a Systems Delivery Lead (SDL), you will lead the Westinghouse Parts Business (WPB) in planning and delivering changes to its business systems. You will connect business priorities with software delivery, testing, launch planning, day-to-day support, and work performed by outside partners. You will turn priorities into clear plans, schedules, milestones, and delivery targets. The SDL also keeps stakeholders informed about progress, risks, dependencies, decisions, and expected results.

You will use your knowledge of software development and system integration to help business and technical teams work together. This will help the business explain what it needs and why, and you will then work with the architecture team to make sure those needs are understood in technical terms. You will also help identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and technical limits early and explain technical choices in language the business can understand. You will support communication and decision-making but does not own the business process or make final technical design decisions.

The SDL keeps work moving across teams, setting clear delivery practices, coordinating employees and outside partners, and helping resolve issues that affect more than one group. They make sure planned improvements are balanced with production support, technical debt, system reliability, and other operational needs.

You will report to the Sr. Manager, WPB Systems and Strategy and will be based in our New Stanton, PA facility. This is a mobile position that is expected on site 2-3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Turn product priorities and business goals into clear roadmaps, release plans, milestones, and delivery forecasts.
  • Make sure work is ready for the team, coordinate sprint and release planning, review available capacity, and manage dependencies and the order of work.
  • Lead regular meetings to review progress, risks, dependencies, release readiness, and decisions that need to be escalated.
  • Provide clear updates on scope, schedule, quality, risks, decisions, roadblocks, commitments, and expected results.
  • Help teams resolve issues while respecting each role: the Product Owner sets priorities, architects make technical design decisions, analysts represent business needs, and the quality team independently verifies the solution.
  • Coordinate employees and outside partners, and make sure responsibilities, deliverables, due dates, dependencies, and acceptance criteria are clear.
  • Create and improve practical standards for planning work, managing delivery, making decisions, and measuring results.
  • Make sure delivery plans balance new improvements with production support, technical debt, and system reliability.
  • Prepare teams for release decisions and confirm that the design, testing, business approval, communications, deployment, and support plans are ready.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in technical program management, software delivery, project management, product delivery, or a related field.
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Experience leading the delivery of enterprise software or business systems.
  • Experience building roadmaps and plans, managing releases and dependencies, review team capacity, and forecast delivery dates.
  • Experience with Agile delivery, backlog preparation, sprint planning, release planning, and tools such as Azure DevOps.
